Had to wait 2.5 weeks for it to arrive so that could disqualify it from an impulse buy.
    It sounds awesome.

This morning popped into my bank and got my letter and statement for my visa extension renewal tomorrow, and afterwards around the corner into Villa Market for shopping. On Sunday, in the course of my efforts in the kitchen, I'd managed to break my garlic crusher through using it to mash chopped lemongrass. Obviously my arthritic right hand isn't as weak as I thought. Villa normally have a reasonable selection of quality kitchen implements, but alas no garlic crusher.

What I did spot was this micro grater, which I reckon will do a job similar to a crusher. Will find out during this forthcoming weekend's effort.

The now disposed of garlic crusher.

Not sure if 8 months on the todo list qualifies as an impulse buy, but I'm definitely going to get that freezer tomorrow or weekend tops, maybe.

Good luck, jabir. I planned to buy a mocrowave on Monday only to find all electrical products cordoned off. Food and toiletries only for sale due to the current situation.

Numchai Pattaya has a separate unit near the main showroom devoted to freezers, same day delivery, must be doing well in these times.

I'm surprised they're restricting appliance sales in Oz, can't see the point of that except under severe conditions and for strategic products. Mate in Sydney says shelves are heaving, no mention of rationing or shortages, but that was last week and things are moving fast, so your microwave may be tagged at price and a half on the grey market; good luck.

    ^ up there somewhere

There's something in the air; just back from Makro and they were closing off entire sections including Casio, hotel amenities, kitchen stuff, appliances etc, one girl was supervising from a list as her team emptied aisles and closed them off.

Not a one-off either; that large home store in the BigC Sukhumvit complex was being emptied as I arrived at around 2pm, and best I could understand it will be closed until further notice.

Either I'm a jinx or it's worth getting a bit of extra shopping in.

On the plus side I finally got the impulse freezer, delivery tomorrow unless Prayut decides otherwise.

That is by far the coolest looking toaster I have ever seen. With that many heating elements the toast must brown really quickly!

    I want one.
