    Finally upgraded my Shop Grinder

Now I need to track down some materials to make a nice mobile stand for it. I need to find a wire brush wheel to replace one of the grinder wheels.

    ^ not interested.

Until the small but world renowned waterfall feature has been completed, I'm simply not interested in anything else!

Weighing in at a gargantuan 72,000 tons displacement (15,000 more than the 2nd largest battleships in history - the Iowa Class) it has to be assumed that the honourable Japanese were compensating for their famously small penises Betts.

For the fish to slide down? Could be fun, and a few birds may enjoy waiting somewhere around it - I'm more interested than ever to see this construction...

Exactly! Why can't they make these things 4-way so we can have a rough wheel, fine wheel, wire brush and maybe a emery/linisher station. With a revolving mechanism to bring the required station to the front.

    Just saying.

Mine is just clamped tot he corner of my bench using G-clamps. That way I can easily move it any time and I always know where to find my G-clamps!

Well I am thinking I will mount to my work bench. It is on wheels. I want to be able to have an area where If I had to wire wheel a long tube I can pull the bench out a bit .

As for the wire wheel, I really only need a rough wheel and a wire. Have to remove all the safety shielding on the wire wheel side to use it like I want. The fine wheel would only be for maybe sharpening drill bits but that happens very seldom.

I have to say I am very impressed with the Ryobi unit. Extremely quiet, heavy shaft bearings. great power.

Only messin with ya BB. I am going to scrap the fish pond plans for now. Got a lot of weird stares from the wife about it and every time I wanted to gather up a few more things to build it, I got more stares. That was my cue to hold off or never hear the end of it.

However the swimming pool got a smile and a big approval. BTW, she said the "Why should the fish have a nice pond to swim in and we don't?"

I have the area marked out. Now will finalize a few design ideas then wait for the zombie apocalypse to settle down so we can get some estimates. My friend here around the corner has the back hoe and the dump truck so getting it dug out will be quick and easy. I did get a good laugh when I said I want one end to start at 1m then graduate down to be 3 to 3.5m deep at the other. My niece and FIL said "why not have it 1.5 m deep all over. I laughed and said "because I know how to dive and swim."..

Anybody know if you can get diving boards here?

Electric wine bottle-opener. Been struggling with one of those crappy manual ones and have always wanted one:

Went to test it but wouldn't you fucking know it all my bottles in the wine fridge currently are twist-tops.

Unless you go into a good bottle shop you'll be hard pressed to find a bottle with cork now . . . not a bad thing if you ask me - the number of corked wines I've had as a student . . . and still drank them.

The dawn of the age of Aircraft Carriers which ushered in the demise of the Battleship.

Leading the way in the centre is the Royal Navy's HMS Illustrious with a complement of Hawker Sea Furies, Fairey Swordfishes and F4U Corsairs.

Akagi on the right with A6M Zero squadron and Aichi D3A dive bombers was laid down as a battleship but converted to a carrier during construction. She was part of the 6 carrier attack on Pearl Harbour and was sunk/scuttled at the Battle of Midway.

Zuikaku on the left also attacked Pearl Harbour. She survived Midway and took part in the battles of the Coral Sea and Guadalcanal before being torpedoed in the largest battle in naval history by personnel, the battle of Leyte Gulf in 1944.

^Well their are no Chinese knickers flying Toot as Mini Minx has gone back to NSW to resume her studies and is not sure when she will be back in QLD.

But as one door closes another opens and the long lost Miss Mindanao popped up from nowhere after a 7 month hiatus and helped with the unboxing of the Carrier Fleet on Wednesday...

She also brought some strange Flippa cuisine with her.

    This is Adobo

    This is Embotido

This is Embotido frying in the pan along with Longanisa and Chorizo. All prepared from scratch by MM. (hand assembled sausages)

I can confidentially report that Flippa cuisine does live up to its notorious reputation - although I feigned enthusiasm while chowing down! (although the Adobo sauce was quite nice)

    ^^ That's a big one.

^^^^ Looper... when I work offshore we often have Filipino night cooks. I like the adobo, but one of my favourite dishes they often do is braised/baked ox tail. If you could ask your friend for a recipe I'd be very grateful.
