Indeed, though in the oven rather than stove top. At the moment though, I'm cognisant of the high price of electricity, so 5 or 6 hours in an oven is not without cost, hence for some dishes (again thinking of pulled pork etc), a pressure cooker on the gas stove top makes sense.
^ I wish you had told me PAG. You could have had ours... only been used the one time.
The wife ain't happy with the astronomical cost of sitting in aircon all day watching daytime TV so has found a new outlet for expenditure... buying absolute crap from Facebook.
You could have had our 'Pressure Cooker' which couldn't hold more pressure than Reg Dingle would produce after a night of that gassy Italian shite he likes to drink. But it's a nice colour!
The wife's also not happy about me writing obscenities in the dust around the house... WTF?
Or how about this... I have a set of six condiment jars with a flimsy plastic spoon set in the top... which doesn't even reach the bottom anyway and isn't strong enough to lift a portion of salt without snapping.
Oh, and the tops don't seal so everything is solid with moisture after two days.
But apart from that...
When I was a kid, one evening we heard screams from the neighbor for help. Her husband had been fooking about with a pressure cooker and it blew up on him, scalding him from the top of his belly down to his knees. When I got there, he was already in the bathtub submerging himself water....but you could see the damage the boiling water had done to his important bits. Later, we heard him screaming when they took him out of the water, I assume.
I've never had the desire to mess with a pressure cooker, even though logically I know the tech has improved, I don't want to be burnt like that.

How well does an air fryer dry/cook chillies ?

I want to start judging people by the toss of a coin - life or death. I'll start with a couple of disliked work colleagues then move onto the wife's family if I feel especially brave...
Adding to posts above: an air fryer is great - bought one a few years back and love it; very versatile.
^ true but with ikea their chunky made stuff will have been quality checked and have a specification. They won't risk their reputation.
Your absolutely correct Cy, China! Wasn't aware until I just checked the base of the cooker, though I did research on-line reviews.
Surely (most) goods that are made in China by reputable Euro companies with (presumably) stringent Euro QC on site, are made in China due to the low cost of labour, factories and added financial incentives, and the quality is barely affected, if at all. Not like the Made in China by Chinese Coonts using the cheapest, most useless shit they can steal.
Got me some Amazon delivery....
Made in China...
A great number of products are made in China but as ol Edmundo noted, they are made to controlled standards of the company having them made. They don't just send them components and let them make them and slap their name on it. Only quality issues are products designed or copied then manufactured by Chinese companies. They are usually total crap.
Personally, I wouldn't buy anything made in China...
Indeed, Apple's iPhones as an example. Anyway, back to 'Impulse Buys'. Again just arrived, some of the recipes that I've been looking at recently require 'hot smoked paprika'. I've always got paprika in the house though couldn't tell you if it was hot smoked or not. So, looked specifically for said item, thankfullly made in Spain and not China.
Aye, they sell that stuff at Makro.
Good quality.
Spanish operation, but quality control is doubtless by Aryans.
