    Beware.

I was out and about tonight and was informed that a close friend of mine was knocked off his bike and assaulted by 3 Thai males driving a Toyota Vigo pick-up stealing his wallet, watch and telephone.

They pushed him off the road using a baseball bat from the passenger window, used baseball bats to beat him up and the hospital bill was 10,000.00 baht to clean him up. He had not consumed alcohol and had only stopped to buy some food for his wife and was on his way home around 11.00 pm.

This happened around Maprachan Lake on the darkside of Pattays and it has been reported that the same scum attacked another 6 people during their night of thieving filthy mayhem.

Please be careful as things are happening here in the Land of Smiles which have never happened before.

Cheers and travel safe my fellow members.

Mate I have heard from others the once respectful spirit Thais once had for farang is dissolving right across the nation.

I refer to the disgusting beating of the British Grandmother not 1 month ago.

Fucked if I know what the authorities can do here but I now rarely stay out after dark.

Once again everyone stay safe, do not get into verbal dispute with a Thai Male of Female and be aware of your surroundings.

He was the bloke that helped people around the lake with computer problems at no charge, pretty well potless and would never threaten anyone.

He was not targetted but in the wrong place at the wrong time as were apparently another 6 people during the carnage.

It's about time the government and police accept things are falling apart and take steps to address the problems.

They attacked and robbed 7 people in one evening. Innocent people going about thier business mate.

I have also seen a negative trend against farang here at every level and as a farang I must be aware.

I will not go into detail as that may be negative to my position here but things are happening in spite of what the TOT claim.

Of course it is for those who see [and judge] everything behind their gated ivory castles.

    Random is the new absolute.

7 people, in a country of 70 million, in a city that is World renown for being a cesspit magnet of cheap sex, criminals and scum?..

    I too don't trust TOT.

I use 3BB. Much better imo. But that's just my experience.

I had another English mate who lost all his personal pocessions 2 weeks ago on third road in Pattaya when the thieving Thai cvnts were laying in wait for him when he was going home to his family. They even broke the security lights to make their attack more stealth.

Once again I am just trying to warn people to be aware of your surroundings, trust nobody and get home safe.

Hardly not to be expected, once in a while, in the World's most famous sexpat peasant whore-town, really.

Take 100,000 Western sexpats, stick them in a town with 200,000 Asian farmgirl prostitutes, in a drought-ridden peasant country built on face and pride and ego. What do you think the outcome is going to be?

7 people getting knocked off their bike and having their wallets stolen by a 3-strong gang of guys on a one night spree is hardly shocking. to be fair.

I agree with what you are saying..............

Maybe time for the Pattayaites to start arming up.

Wouldn't mind one myself, if I could trust myself to not wind people up enough just so I'd have to use it.

LT is spot on about a change in the atmosphere towards foreigners here.

there is definately an increase in mindless violence and thuggery by groups of young thai males on not only foreigners, but on thais too, either during robberies or as a means ofsettling minor disputes or imagined slights.

the police are not interested unless they are pushed from above to take action because the international media might report something that besmirches the reputation of the country.

for some reason they are unable to see that thailands reputation at the moment could hardly be worse than it is, a country famous for its road accident rate, corrupt police force, its use of slave labour, its treatment of asylum seekers, its rohyinga death camps, its lese majeste laws, its draconian suppression of free speech and investigative journalism and of course its prostitution and attraction as a playground for the lowrent criminal scum of the world.

it is rapidly sinking back into the fetid swamp from which it once struggled so hard to escape from.

Mate when I get my payment I am out of here.

I have put 29 years of my life into this country, achieved a lot of things, made many friends and would not swap my experience for anything.

But things are changing, life not only in Pattaya but also across the country is changing for the worse and I really don't want to be a part of it anymore.

The reasons for such change can only be addressed by the present government and it is time they listened to their people.

I post this because I care about the country, the people here and my fellow farangs.

The Police must catch this gang very soon, otherwise others are going to be hurt.
