I am sick and tired of men who think that all Western women are the devil. And having read numerous stories on numerous fora it seems the Thai women win in the devil way.

Huh? Where did I say anything about not being able to find a women at home? No problem here.

But I'm planning to move to Thailand because I like nice weather 200% better than the weather we have in the US, and because the cost of living would allow me to work on my own startup, full time, and living really well without worrying much about paying rent -- so I'm starting to check out the dating scene there -- and all of the blogs I've seen suggest staying away from the bars (full of bar girls and party girls), and look at some of the Thai dating sites to find women that you won't find in bars.

As to listening to advice, I'll weigh all sincere sounding advice, and consider the source. If from a poster like (Bo0b) -- it will go directly into the dumpster where it belongs. He sounds to me like a fat over the hill sexpat, trying to be the board know-it-all and alpha male.

I'm just a guy that is new to Thailand. Not going there to be a sexpat, but because the country is like Hawaii but about 1/3 of the cost -- so I can live well, and easily ($) while working on my startup/software ideas.

Yes, and I will meet her. Was mainly trying to decided if I should keep a couple others as options -- and trying to figure out how to do that without offending them. Just in case the 1st turns out to be something other than what I thought.

Your questions were not directed at me but I think my answers may be helpful.

I am fat and ugly. I can hold a conversation in English and in French. I see no differences between Western and Thai women as all are capable of being money grabbers. I didn't go to Thailand with the intention of getting a wife but that is the way it turned out.

Any man who goes out anywhere with the specific intention of getting a wife is a nutcase. One who seeks to travel to the other side of the world to get one needs medical help urgently. It's not the way to do things. It's silly.
