    Moderation on the internet

This is a long read , but worth it

about internet moderation from the early youtube days

The secret rules of the internet | The Verge

the story about the woman journalist being attacked because she posted an article considered feminist made me think about quite a few of our posters here who show off the scars they try and hide because their mothers thought they were cnuts.

it made me think that this could be a profitable enterprise - set up the various social media and assorted sites for a faux person with some reasonable advertising attached to it which pays returns and then lay out a few nice stinky baits and let the money roll in as the fester boys tried t outdo each otehr with their outrage.

then rinse / reapeat with the next lot - I imagine it would work with many of the hordes of stupid that abound online.

thought I might add this link too -

If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.
