Can't speak for everyone, but it seems like some of the posters on this forum want there to be conspiracies, and the rest don't give a fuck.

Well actually I've seen what you term 'chemtrails' in NZ (although not at night) so I'm afraid that ENT's tinfoil trumps you on this one.

You should invest in a better brand.

Usually those chem/con trails start appearing in the mornings, a proper squared cross-hatch pattern, visible most of the day and on towards evening, the later appearing ones still linger in the sky, spread out a bit by then, and kind of diffusing into the surrounding atmosphere, looking for all the world like thin cloud cover, but in very broad bands, descending almost like a mist.

I once watched from up by Nugget Point on the Shotover, one such burst of stuff descending like a long grey cloud over Lake Wakatipu, settling slowly over central Queenstown area, spreading from south to north, from Fern Hill way to Frankton.

Eerie, it was more like a rain or debris cloud the way it descended, but no rain fell there that day.

Maybe they're a seasonal thing, but they do appear regularly.
