^Sorry, that was my point. Although if I had magic powers, I probably would have dumped it in the Dog House.

Hi Freddy.
After many years of reading Teak Door and not commenting, your post makes me want to. Similar to you I came to Thailand looking for a young wife, I stayed 6 weeks in a one room stick hut with a dirt floor with her 2 y/o daughter, Aunt and 2 sisters.
It was very rural and basic, with all the trappings of a dirt poor Issan village.
Unlike you, I had been reading the Thai forums long before I arrived, and my eyes were wide open. Even though I was besotted with my now pregnant 19 Y/O mink, not for a moment did I consider selling my house back home, building one in Issan and retiring to life of poverty, insects, Lao Khow and sponging inbred relatives.
Her family had one old motorbike between them, so I bought her a near new Honda wave, she wouldn't speak to me for three days because it was second hand.
There was a lovely Falang house for rent in her village for 3,000 baht/month but she wanted a new house, standing in the door of her shack she explained how Thai women don't like to rent or live in second hand houses (oh the irony) but thanks to good oil on this forum I didn't fall for the bull.
What I did do was rent my house back home, bought her 20 Rai with eucalyptus, took a job in Singapore/Indonesia, and took her the daughter and sister with me.
We are still together 8 years on and 2 more kids, but I haven't bought a house in Thailand, but a second property back home.
Freddy rent, it is so cheap don't sell your house back home, give you time to make up your mind if you really like where you are.
I know how you feel buddy, best of luck.
^ That's to sensible for our texan hick.
He's balls deep in trouble.
Oooh ... it's been moved to obscurity.
But that's not why I'm calling you stupid, Freddy. Continually saying that it is doesn't make you any less stupid - just more in denial.
That wasn't what I asked, Freddy, for the third or fourth time - what I actually asked was exactly what papers you gave and received, which you seem either reluctant to say or you just don't know even though it's the ones in English I was interested in.
Nevertheless, if your day was as you describe then your steps are in the wrong order so, as suspected, you've been had.
After the Embassy (assuming you had the correct papers, which I doubt) you should have gone to have a certified translation made of the papers, then gone to the MFA to have the certified translation approved, then to the amphur to be married. No translations necessary after that, either to Thai or English unless you wanted an English copy.
If your IQ and your memory hasn't failed again, Freddy, your marriage was invalid at best and never happened at worst.
If the process was as you described you're not legally married, Freddy.
... and nobody who's married did the process you describe as it wouldn't work, Freddy ... and I got married on British territory, so my trip to the MFA was to have my partner's Thai paperwork and translations approved.
Yes you do, Freddy. I've quoted your posts where the dates you claim to have been here vary, Freddy. ... and if that "mistake" was intentional why did you try to cover it up by deleting your post (after I'd already quoted it). Freddy, you can't remember where you are so it's hardly a surprise if you can't remember your supposed IQ.
They don't, Freddy. But unlike you they don't really care and neither do I because that's not why most people post here.
Freddy, you're treating your wife well by not being there. I'm sure she's happy with that.
Really? I wish I had! Nobody, and I really do mean nobody, did my job for the money!
Yes, just the one.
I think that's what you call "an assumption", Freddy. In the unlikely event I bothered to talk to you, since we obviously have very little in common to talk about, if you were as stupid in real life as you are here I'd be as honest and direct to you in person as I'm being here; I have no reason not to be.
You don't look "bad", Freddy. Just rather self-centred and incredibly stupid.

Gut feeling. I think Fred's gone. Hopefully he'll be back but I doubt it. He's of strong will.
John, you really remind me of another poster with the initials PH. Same writing style.
55555 Well done Fred you had them all good style like little kids waiting for your every word or a pack of animals with no life except the pc everyday waiting with baited breath for your next post, they need to spend more time with there misses i suggest to get rid of all that frustration then again they are all in loveless relationships by the sounds of it....why else would they spend time on here responding to your posts when they all have said you are a troll!!
You won and pricks like JohnG have just made a complete fool of themselves and will get there comuppance in the future when there perfect lives here in Thailand go to pot for all the reasons there insecurities posting on here show.
Again congrats for a good laugh
The only moron on this thread is you JohnG
... "obsessive stalking" ... Hmmmm ... not too up on the terminology, but I would have thought that "obsessive stalking" involved rather more than replying to and following posts made in just ONE THREAD!!!
... as for petty comments I think I'll bow to your superior knowledge since if your contribution here is anything to go by that seems to be your field of expertise.
Is Keyser Sozz the builder that's helping Fred.
Lease, usufruct, right of habitation, on and on, not one will hold up in a dispute.
INCORRECT INFO, AND SUPPOSITION.
Worse, some could see you arrested, all can be voided by your wife at any time, that's why you never hear of farangs winning a court case.
INCORRECT INFO AND SUPPOSITION.
If you build a house in the sticks, it's your wife's house, only way to gain some tenure is by having a bank mortgage in the wife's name.
You pay, while you pay you can stay, things go tits up, walk away and the bank gets the house.
SOUND ADVISE.. take on board op
One of my farang neighbours had a house about 30 kms sway in his ex-boyfriend's village. Over 30 rai, big house, pool, sauna, etc. Ex-boyfriend found a new b/f in France and moved out, leaving farang with the housr on a 30 year lease. Farang fell on hard times and tried to sell, starting at 30 mill, then 20, then 15, then 10. Not even any views. Down to 5 mill and finally realised a) expensive farang houses in the sticks are worth zilch and b) he didn't actually have anything in his name to sell.
Ex-b/f's family finally paid him 3 mill to cancel the lease and move out - les s than the land was worth just as agricultural land.
He was lucky.
I honestly doubt if anyone else has got quite the same combination of huge ego and small brain Freddy has, but I think the biggest problem others may face in a similar position may be that his new 'family' just don't believe that he's not got too much money and they'll just think he's being 'careful' until it's all gone - and probably even after that ... after all, look at the undeniable fact that he's been able to afford to fly to Thailand half a dozen times in a year. He .MUST have money ...
And on his own admission of sending her money alongside of buying a motorcycle. Albeit secondhand. Irrespective, Fred's gone now.Originally Posted by JohnG
