Thanks for the info. I'll let sleeping dogs lie for the moment.
He was my friend in real life, not just through the fora. I just wanted to put the RIP under his thingy. Out of respect, as has been done before.

He died, he was cremated today and is now on his way home with his family.
Cujo, i shall let the mods know, thanks.
Patsy, find a post your friend has here and report it with comment "he has passed away. Please change av to RIP".
This is fastest way to have admin make the change.
OK, he died at the age of 55 of complete organ failure due to alcohol abuse. His family travelled to be with him in his last days. And took his ashes home. Happy?
No member name, because it was only a week ago and his family may know his username here and look it up. Out of respect for them, i am not telling you it.
Up to you but I doubt his family even knows of the existence of TD let alone his user name.
Cujo, please, just leave it. How do you know that his family don't know that TD exists? They are well travelled etc.
I got the information i needed - do you really need to go on and on about it?
I am sad too, about my friend. Also, his other numerous friends.
Thanks Norton.
And even if they do come and read whatever here, at least they will have seen that someone cared enought to put the RIP under his nik.
I have given out strict instructions to a friend to do that for me!! Let those bastards know, finally, that i am dead!! And count the RIPs, and read the nasty comments. And have a good wake.

For Christ's sake if his family knows TD and knows his nic how is telling US his nic compromising anything?
And unless he's been an active and recent poster no ones going to see his login with the RIP so I guess it's to remain a secret so this thread is all about nothing. Well, someone died but I'm not telling you who.
WTF?
I don't understand the dilemma.
If he is dead you can tell us which TD member it is and put RIP under his name without revealing his real life identity.
His family either know his TD identity or they don't. Either way anonymously revealing which TD member has died without revealing any more details would not affect this.
The thing I find odd is when a member dies and then this becomes a cue for his real life identity and photos to be revealed.
If he wanted to be anonymous on the forum in life then he probably wanted to remain anonymous in death.
People on TD would be mouring the loss of the TD identity anyway so they don't need to know his real identity.
Now sod off Coojy woojy, you twat.

Still looks like patsy got her wish:

Thanks. I did write a nice, polite note to the admin.
Perhaps this thread can be closed now?
Unless Cujo wants to know the guy's full life story??!! It's a cracker!!
Born 29.12.1960 died 13.03.2016. Cremated on St Paddy's day in Pattaya. Taken home to England by his little sister. Who was with him when he died.
I don't know if any of you have felt it - but the sadness deep inside, like a rock on your insides when something like this happens. Is fuckin' horrible.

So, Cujo, why did you red me on this thread? Not that i give a shit about greens and reds and have never done?
I was close to him, and that is all that counts to me.
That's going a bit low to red someone who asks questions about a member here who has died?
I don't want any animosity - but that goes really under the belt.
Silly that a simple question becomes a whole shitefest.
Anyway, RIP (thanks mods) Stevie xxx
Cos Kuto's a Kunt!
No one likes you Kunto, why not fukk off to another forum like a nice little kunt?
No, really. Why did you RED me for this thread?
Give me an answer, If it had been a friend of yours you may have asked the same questions.
