Incidentally, given that it's the quiet time, an update.

There's no cure, but treatment can slow down development.

The main problem is the slow but persistent deterioration on the skeletal mass. Your bones start to crumble. Your spine, in my case will eventually give out and that's not going to be fun.

My thoughts of an Africa Twin have been shelved JJ. As have any other biking dreams CFS.

So, we take the morphine and the thalidomide and the calcium and the Pregabulin and the Bactrim and the paracetamol and the Vaclovir and the liquid morphine when it hurts and we move on.

Monthly treatments at the Allan Walker Cancer Care Centre in Darwin.
A brilliant, caring, user friendly place like of which I didn't believe the public health system could possibly provide. It's the best.

The travel costs are an expensive bore but it has to be done.

Joy drives me down to Chiang Rai (2 hours)
    Flight to BKK.
    Flight to SIN
    Flight to Darwin.
Generally get into Darwin at 05.00
Sleep for 2-3 hours then get to the clinic.
Spend most of the day getting treatment and talking to Doctors.
    All good.
Walk back to my mates house, sleep.
03.00 shower and coffee and a 03.45 cab to the airport.
Finally home by 18.00 Thai time.
    Job done.

An absolute pain, generally needing 2-3 days recovery.

However, next year it may only be every 3 months. That's if there's any sense in it.

By that I mean if there has been more than satisfactory progress come the end of the year we'll continue with the treatment and visits and flights and so on.

If not we won't. End of story.

No dramas but I'd rather drift off quietly at home than be flashing about on some wild whirlwind dash to try and squeeze an extra few moments of pain.

    No dramas just facts.

    That's the latest folks.

Thanks again for all the support and help you all gave.
    It made a big difference.

One small but important point you might like to start doing something about is thinking about your home, and how your missus will manage if your mobility does become compromised. Thinking about things like stairs, wash facilities etc.

This is all thoroughly depressing. Think will go and find some pictures of cats.

    all the best.

A very good point and not depressing at all, just realistic.
Yes, I have thought about that and I think it'll work out OK.

Oleander Extract ? Cancer Compass~An Alternate Route

CJack, a good friend of mine ultimately got better with this alternative cure. Her prognosis wasn't very good when she stopped radiation therapy coz she was running out of cash and out of property to sell for the treatments. She swears that this alternative route cured her. I believe her. She was suppose to be dead six years ago.

Stay strong...... your courage is inspiring.

Well given that it's growing in every garden in our village, including ours it would seem silly not to give it a go.

Recently, I had dreams about your family & their impending relocation to Japan.
I suggest that you get advice from wise person so that the move is in the best interest of the family. I have forgotten the bulk of it but maybe Australia will prove more suitable. $$$ may be a big problem.
