You can see my office in the Croydon pic. It's on George Street. Some people call it wetherspoons.

It's developing nicely these days. Several developments are underway. The trams are already there which makes it feel like being a French city.

Get on the Polish lager like a car bonnet.

4pm FA cup watch City beat Chelsea, snookers not a bad idea if you fancy a siesta.

I can honestly say I'd never seen anything like that chicken man. Obviously been in the barn yard too long.

I lived in Thailand for best part of 10 years 1999-2009 and never thought I'd leave but I did mainly because daughter was 5 and had had 1 year of education in a Thai private school and that was enough for me plus my mother had cancer, when got back to the UK it was me who hated it and struggled to adjust after 10 years away. Daughter was straight in school, settled and loving it, misses started working after about a month and loving it, just me who fukin hated the place, but as time has gone on (7 years now) my attitude has changed and the desire to return full time to Thailand has gone which was always the plan after daughter finished her education, I've gone all smeg and would much prefer Southern Europe now and having taken the misses and kid for a few trips to Spain and the Canaries, they now seem to like that idea better too. But daughter is only 12 and a lot can change in the next 10 years.

That's what's got me thinking the education
But they have an idyllic life there, I don't have much family in the UK
I'm just not sure I assume my wife would hate it but kids adapt
    It's a nagging problem I can't work out

My wife and daughter had never set foot in the UK before we moved here and naturally I was worried about certain things but as it turned out I had fuk all to worry about as I guess was an adventure and could always have moved back if didn't work out but was best thing I ever did, only regret is that I didn't do it a few years earlier than I did.

Maybe spend our retirement winters there, six months on and six months off.

I can not see our children settling back there as they don't speak the lingo and personally i would see it as a step backward for them.

Big Thai religious holiday today, (Makha Bucha Day) so no alcohol sales today. He will be stoking up the boiler with Chang to ensure he maintains a suitable level of blood alcohol to last him until the wrappers come off the 7/11 coolers tomorrow morning.

Find a job in Gibraltar, the British beach town in the Spanish sun. There are good free British schools there for your daughter. No need to wait 10 years.

    lunar house?

i had to go there with my wife for an interview. about 1995.

they took us into separate rooms and asked us both personal questions about each other.

took 10 minutes, and a month later she had indefinite leave to remain, the uk passport came automatically 5 years later. didnt cost a penny, apart from the regular passport fee.

    so easy.
