Remember the actual name of the thread.

    RIP Bitcoin

Then, look at where it was then and where it is now.

unless some info changes (like earl hopes that fiat currencies become untrustable), you're probably right.

though, it'll find its support ($5, $500 or $5,000?) and still be what earl says it is, just not at the price earl thought it would go to.

if you think it will liberate everyone, then yes we disagree. Can it play some role, sure. But no revolutionary or improve the lifestyle of anyone.

It's a dumb technology in the sense it doesn't yield anything worthwhile,

While I agree that the coins/tokens are entirely speculative, seeing as they are backed by nothing other than digits,

the blockchain has the ability to deliver true democracy.

And that, to most of us humans, is truly worthwhile.

i did that a few times and then got out (not easy, but possible and posted when i was buying btc as it was in free fall).

left a small investment for the long term (many years).

Definitely has a future, but without sensible regulation all we will see is a continuous cycle of pump and dump with cryptos being the funnel for retail money to the predators.

Unregulated means just that, a free for all.

That said, my only consolation so far is that I sold ICX for ETH at $7.60 (now $5.48 and sinking).
