as expected bitcoin exchanges are full of Chinese peasants bidding up for it
that alone is a big redflag, might as well play the Roulette, better odds

go fix my sink Baldrick, on your knees of course
Everyone thought I was nuts buying up BTC the last few years.
What ever happened to butterfly anyway?
Gold never crashed and BTC skyrocketed, maybe he went busto
dragon/butter/fly had a near death experience during a boiler room bukkake session when a large knob of rancid smegma dislodged from a participants foreskin and ended up stuck in his throat. a session of pre cordial thumping administered with the trendy boiler room boys' doc martins ejected the offensive object and allowed the swill to drain down his esophagusOriginally Posted by 9999

If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.
Good thing he welched on the gold bet it was supposed to be sub $900 USD by now. Also calling trash on BTC when it was $220, whilst professing as some sort of qualified financial suit type. Always suspected he was a boiler room guy .... thou doth protest too much
we should bet on price of BTC some time in the future, higher or lower than now, nice and simple. Baldrick can hold the funds in escrow.
sure I'll take your roulette bets. Your EV would be better than the financial games you pretend to play.
ok I will bet on 12 red
what's yours ?

as a long term investment ?
I guess this is another wiggle out of Internet speak you are not willing to back up irl butters. BTC up or down 6 months from now. Whatever you can handle. Yes or no?
Those crypto moneys were joke few years ago but now seen as soon to be major players to come...

They will be, but BTC won't be one of them. It's technically not good enough, unstable, and has the taint of druggie conspiracy about it. There's a bunch of other coins out there doing interesting things. They have investors such as Google, MS, US state department, Major banks and IT industries funding their startups. If you knew which one to invest in you could make a nice sum of money but the tech is so new it already has and will continue to have hiccups until they get it right. Throw in the uncertainty surrounding legal issues and banking regulations of different countries around the world and at best it's an educated guess.
Some people think it don't, but it be.
told you 999, I am not a petty chav like you taking bets on everything he comes across
I offered an offline OTC Swap with Gold and you found silly excuses for not taking it because all you understand in your little dodgy gambling chav mind is BETS
get yourself an education and do some research if you are so insecure in taking a position in an instrument you know nothing about
as for me, I know BTC is completely volatile and a game played only by Chinese peasants, plumbers and chavs, so no, I would rather bet on Casino roulette if you don't mind, so I will take red 12 what's yours ?
If you had taken my Gold Swap, you would have won 100 USD at the end of the SWAP as the gold was only slightly up by an outstanding 100 USD in 6 months
Your loss

Blockchain goes beyond Bitcoins and their clones,
Blockchain might be implemented as tracking devices for financial transactions, and that's where the innovation is, end of story.
All the silly stories about bitcoin and their clones is just pure speculation and will end in tears as it always does in those cases

More than that. It can be used to verify documents, be used as a global ID that you could use for banking around the world, run applications, make international FX transactions in seconds through multiple pathways for cheaper rates and no fees.
But the biggest prize could be building the IOV: internet of value. All the micro-transactions that will occur as the IOT takes off will need speed, reliability, flexibility and security. Then your google car will be able to pay for it's own petrol and parking or even rent movies for you to watch while you're on the road.
there are other "legal" tech doing that already, GLEI is now the standard. You don't really need blockchain for that, even though some are trying to push for it. Blockchain as a messaging application is nice, but previous initiatives with the same logic have failed. The issue is not tech, it's political and true usage benefits. I am sure a few financial apps will use blockchain eventually, just for the novelty and make headlines. Some poor performing exchange houses have been pitching "blockchain" as a way to save themOriginally Posted by Plan B
As for micro-pays, ApplePlay is going the right direction and will do all things for us eventually, again no need for another branded blockchain for it.
