it seems to me, there is a long way to go yet, ref the use/spending of crypto. as you still need to exchange your crypto for fiat. when that changes then we will be on a home run.

the latest trend seems to be this wrapping of coins? via an ERC20 token which is then lent using a smart contract - all sorts of wrong here and high risk

because DeFi is such a hot cliche at the moment , people are looking past the risk they are taking - you are handing over your keys , which they take and issue you with an ERC20 token and facilitate you to lend it to "speculators"

the risk of your capital just fcuking off is too high

On Binance, they were giving away BNB (Binance) shares cheaply a couple years ago — so I had a few hundred dollars worth.

Open up Binance today for the first time in a long while and see it's now worth 15 times more for a $3,000 profit = settle the trade for an early Christmas gift.

I rode that BNB wave myself, but the coins that I had ballooned from a few thousand USD to well into the 5 figures. That was back in May and at that time I sold it all and bought bitcoin at $37k USD, so it almost doubled again. Being that that is just one part of my portfolio, I am pretty happy.

An interesting day for ol' Ethy with its 2.0 rollout.
