though I still think a bootable linux on an excrypted USB stick with wallets installed might be a better option - if you keep your passphrase and password written down in a couple of places you can always restore the wallet if the USB stick dies and you know you are always booting a clean enviroment when you boot the PC from the USB and will only use it to perform transactions
