you guys are arguing about virtual currencies being only valid and used in an adult imaginary world

like kids do with their PS4 and buy virtual coins for equipment and shit

the crypto part is the "game" angle of the whole scam, so the mark feels he is contributing to something "amazing and out of this world tech", edgy, and emotionally "secure" like Gold. It's no wonder that the same loons hording on Gold, are also buying into Crypto.

What a nice scam, even the Wolf of WallStreet couldn't have made it up

^Yeah this scam is great fun to play though . Loving my Bitcoin SV that were all FREE after some sort of a fork in Bitcoin Cash gave me 1 for 1 bonus coins (I make no claims to know anything about this sort of thing and am just a gambler having some fun with stake money I thought was GONE on a bad bet that is now coming back to me at a great rate of knots, unlike with every other bad bet I've ever made). Anyway these SV's that cost me nothing have gone from being worth about 1,600 Baht a piece at the start of the month to 7,100 a piece right now and they're still climbing. Go you good thing!

Edit: Make that 7,700 since I started writing this post

^Yep. But I'm going to be sensible with the gains this time by cashing out and putting the FREE money into something sensible, like precious metals.

    Got my eye on these:

^It'll just be the SV that I sell (if I sell) and do stupid things with, that money is like having stubbed my toe on something in the street and looking down to see it's a roll of silver Kings. It would be insanity not to spend it before the real owner says he wants it back .

it's not 90% until it's realized and the exchange hasn't run away with your cash

if you like market gambling, why not go on Futures Market, you get nice 25% swings everyday on all kind of assets with 10:1 leverage and even 25:1 leverage on some instruments, and you know the exchange is not going to run away with your gains

And your daily gains are paid everyday in cash at the end of the day on your account, it's called netting

try that with Crypto, virtual coins, virtual gains, virtual cash

That's why I got out in the end: quickly found I lacked the temperament for the roller-coaster ride. It was fun while it lasted though and I made a small profit and used it to pay for me new wheels / tires so all good.

Plus watching some others lose their absolute ever-loving shit over my being involved was an unexpected and incalculable benefit.

I hope you have set a stop to cash out if it plumets - this pump seems to be because of a fake article in chin land

It reads “CSW transferred 50k BTC from the biggest BTC wallet to Binance, which confirmed he is the real Satoshi. As such CZ will re-list BSV and make an official apology on Twitter”

it’s fake af but many retail will believe it for a while before they figure out it’s fake

yeah, but everyday like this for the last 50 years

for bitcoins, no measurable swings for months, dodgy trades (aka fake trades) to spike the price, and then nothing

    ^^

I read from a CSW fanboy today that it was because they announced 1GB blocksizes and successfully got into a courtroom to sue one of the BTC maxis.

But I'm not an expert on this subject like Buttfluffer is, so I can't be sure this isn't just fake(toshi) news.
Some people think it don't, but it be.

SEC Staff Announces Agenda for May 31 FinTech Forum

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
    2019-59
    Washington D.C., April 24, 2019 —
The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the agenda for the forum that its staff is hosting on May 31 to discuss distributed ledger technology and digital assets.
    ^ Starts today.
It's possible they could go full Trumptard and announce 'war' on illegal currencies. They could also give the green light to a lucky few.
Most likely they'll do what they've done for the last ten years and sit with their thumbs up their collective arses while the rest of the world steams ahead implementing a game-changing technology.

Actually they were(are?) busy watching porn...

    https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/sec-porno...ry?id=10452544

The Securities and Exchange Commission is the sheriff of the financial industry, looking for crimes such as Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme, but a new government report obtained by ABC News has concluded that some senior employees spent hours on the agency's computers looking at sites such as naughty.com, skankwire and youporn as the financial crisis was unfolding.

"These guys in the middle of a financial crisis are spending their time looking at prurient material on the Internet," said Peter Morici, a professor at the University of Maryland and former director of the Office of Economics at the U.S. International Trade Commission.

"It's reckless, and indicates a contempt for the taxpayer and the taxpayer's interest in monitoring financial markets," Morici said.
    "skankwire?"

there is no expert on bitcoins, it's based on fairy tales, and catter to the Gold loons and tech virgin boys with too much time on their hands

but I do reckon a scam when I see one, and bitcoins have all the right flags for a scam

I understand you are a bit green and you are the perfect mark for bitcoin scammers, but if you had paid attention in the last few months, SEC has clearly indicated they were going to increase their scrutiny of bitcoins, not encourage more scams

I should bloody well hope so. The sooner BTC dies, the better.

And a big plus is no-nothings like yourself won't fall for those BitConnect scams for the fifth time.
I truly hope the SEC can actually do something to protect the 'special' people in society like yourself. It's sad to see someone like you scraping together a pittance of income by sucking dick, only to lose it all on crypto-scams.

Hang in there Buttfly, it'll get better.

again, if you guys had an education, and not working blue collar jobs, you would detect the bitcoins red flags immediately

and if you want to play day trader, do it officially on a regulated exchange, Futures is like bitcoins with real money and serious players

why go with the fakes when you can go with the real ones?

Bitcoin's Rally Masks Uncomfortable Fact: Almost Nobody Uses It

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...source=twitter

Bitcoin has a lingering problem that few people are talking about amid the renewed exuberance of the recent price surge.
Hardly anyone is using the world’s largest cryptocurrency for anything beyond speculation. Data from New York-based blockchain researcher Chainalysis Inc. show that only 1.3% of economic transactions came from merchants in the first four months of 2019, little changed over the boom and bust cycles of the prior two years.
I think they miss the reality that people are using it because its slow, transaction fees are too high, and its environmentally unfriendly.
