Bitcoin is evolving as it survives many forking attacks and scaling issues.

It remains now and for the foreseeable future a highly secure store of value.
The fact is; it is much more difficult to hack Bitcoin than it is to mine it honestly.
And the government banksters can't rob of your coin like they do with fiat, a very big plus.

Some of the other coins are very good too for different applications.

The whole crypto world is evolving fast and Bitcoin isn't going away. It's getting stronger as it survives.

yes very true on share dealing. but i lean to the idea that hysterior is driving cryto . not hysterior so much as greed/gambling. which is why i think it will all end in tiers. it has to have a cieling , which is when the market hits saturation, then its bail time. however i think it has some way to go before worldwide saturation has an effect, so carry on buying. seems to me what u buy is insignificant.its all a mighty hype.

here lies your logic flaw, you are confusing the security of the mint with the financial security of a coin

you really need both, or at least financial security dominating if the other one is failing

in the case of bitcoin, it's the other way around, it has absolutely no financial security (CCPs, underlying asset etc...) but has a very strong "mint" security

you see where the problem is now ?

The underlying value of Bitcoin is the existence of the globally distributed network, which governments cannot fuck with. This indeed more real than hyper-inflated fiat currency.

Bitcoin meets all the Aristotelian requirements for money.

According to Aristotle, money must have the following properties:
    1. Durability
    2. Portability
    3. Divisibility
    4. Intrinsic value

It is not about bitcoin anymore Earl that is what you do not understand. Bitcoin is an old behemoth that will soon be cast aside. The alt coins are the future.

Go drink your piss Earl you are no authority on crypto.

The durability feature; a military grade cryptographic algorithm stored on the global network.

BTW; the Bitcoin network is the most powerful computing network on the planet.

Until some quantum wampum technology appears Bitcoin is extremely secure and durable.

Aristotle like it or not is the foundation of modern logic and human thought.

    http://simplyphilosophy.org/study/th...-of-aristotle/

Aristotle is one of the most importantphilosophers and thinkers in history. He was the first to investigate logic. He promoted systematic observation and thought in biology, physics, law, literature and ethics. He was the first to systematically think through and develop a philosophical system that explained everything that the people of his time knew. He was a scientist, an ethicist, a philosopher and literary critic. His science lasted for over 1,500 years without significant challenge. His philosophy, logic and understanding lasted just as long.
And silver is much better for electric techno stuff.. some interesting new shit is coming regarding silver..

I'm glad you guys are friends though. I think that's great!

Bitcoin is the foundation upon the alt-coins will reside.

Bitcoin was never meant to be used to buy a fucking cup of coffee.

Just because you were a scared little girlie-man and sold your BTC in 2014, does not change the very sound fundamentals.

The alt-coins will serve many purposes which Bitcoin was never meant to do.

Bitcoin is still gonna be the "Gold Standard" of crypto.

Like I already said Bitcoin is also evolving to the environment.

The old paradigm of one coin must rule is not the question to be asked.
