Thread: Fatty liver infiltration!

Made the move to the wondrous/pile of shite city that is Shanghai, after living in the coastal city of Xiamen for 10 years.

Took some balls (for me), I've never been one for big cities. And this fucker is BIG - 24 million and counting.

Anyways, seems the company that I'm working is serious about this gig, as they flew me back to SA to apply for a work visa, via HK (5 night stay in a 5 star hotel), then back to China (I'd been in China for the summer, but the visa was up).

Singapore to SA, Cathay back. First time on Singapore - comfortable, but cruddy IFE. And Cathay back to China via HK had some butt ugly waitresses-in-the-sky this time around.

They were nice enough to put me up for a night in a decent hotel (I told them I'd be jetlagged), but the next day was off for the health check. Fuck! Hotel buffet breakfast, and I had to fast for the blood test.

Anyway - it was ridiculously straightforward. Took about an hour - BP, ECG, eyesight and hearing, general blood test, and a SONOGRAM.

Got the results a week later - everything's A-OK, except they didn't pick up my ticker's arrhythmia.

They did pick up 'Fatty Liver Infiltration'. Guess that's to be expected after boozing since I could reach the countertop and nick my dad's beer.
