Ty Snakeeyes, I think. Bloody hell this is getting nasty for Brits and Yanks.

I had a couple of thousand US$ in the safe which I cashed in for baht a few years ago. Better rate back then. It's annoying how the baht manages to hang in there when I now want to transfer some dollars to baht.

I just sent some money from UK in Sterling via Transferwise to my THB account.
They gave me a rate of 41.42 after all charges.
It took one minute, between me pressing send on my phone and the THB appearing in my Thai account.

We are nearing 42 Baht to the £1
Snakeyes, I think I've been a bit rash with my promises.
I don't know if I want the pound to go up or down now.

No problem if you're short of greens, I've sent him one on your behalf.
A couple of fresh squirrels, for she who must be pampered, would go down well, her birthday's next month.
It's racing like a bitcoin.. What happened? Did they find oil in Essex?
Ha, Green sent!
Next one at 45.
A combination of things. The economy and job loss figures are not as bad as anticipated, the sustained vaccination programme, and a data driven plan back to (semi) normality which is supported by the majority of the population. I would expect a further lift when the Chancellor announces his next budget next Wednesday/3rd March, with further support for both industry and individuals. The prospect of negative interest rates which would have impacted sterling has disappeared with the expected rise in inflation.
Remember it's not only what happens in the UK that affects it. It's a balancing act between what's happening and what's likely to happen in the UK and Thai economies.
