Are native Thai Dogs related to Dingos?

About 2 months ago we, my family recovered a terminally sick dog outside our front gate and as a caring family we took her in.

7 days at the vets, treatment for first stage Pavos, ticks, lice and other stuff we now have such an intelligent, cunning, smart dog which reminds me of the dingos in OZ.

I grew up on a farm and normally the dingos and foxes were a problem but my new dog looks and acts like a dingo.

So smart and has only binded with me but still suspect she is not trustworthy like the the native dogs I worked with before.

Anyone with some history or experience with Thsi animals which once were part of nature but then got court up in human development?

    All canines are related.

    Distant cousins to bears.

I think dingoes are domesticated dogs that long ago went feral. So...
I don't think there are any real feral dogs in Thailand they are probably all descended from domesticated ones. Or were nefarious people in a former lifetime!

Female dogs are usually more territorial so she will look after her patch. She has only bonded with you because you show her kindness and constancy. OK that and probably food!
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.
You people, you think I know feck nothing; I tell you: I know feck all

We called her lucky and what a great dog.

But such a thief, smart dog she reminds me of the dingo pups we tried to bring up.

These dogs in general I think have been part of this region for thousands of years and now I have a relative of the beast us Ozzies hate and fear.

    But I love her!

Mate, I am sure most of these dogs would prefer to be in the village, or the jungle but somehow they are stuck in the cities which is a shame.

Bob's got the hots for me and is a boarderline stalker these days.

If he ever comes to my place I'll get my dingo to piss on his leg.

There's an old short movie about a street dog from Naples who goes on the ferry to Capri and is enticed by the life of luxury in a family home. 3 squares a day and a warm bed etc.. eventually stifled by kindness he escapes and returns to his old mates and neighborhood.

I did look but I can't find it.

^Saw a similar thing about a Beagle dog that escaped from a scientific research facility in the UK. Seemed very happy to be free for a couple of days, but then returned because it craved the nicotine in cigarettes.

The Thai Bangkaew Dog is native to Thailand.

A cross between a jackel and a local dog at Wat Bankaew a 100 years or so ago by the Monks there. I've got three of them and they definitely closer to the wolf than any dog I've ever had:

There are two genuine species of wild dog in Thailand the Dhole Elusive Wild Dogs Spotted in Thailand Nature Preserves| What is a Dhole?

And the Golden Jackal Golden jackal videos, photos and facts - Canis aureus | ARKive

Neither of which are any relation to the dirty dangerous soi dogs that infest this country.
