    SEA musings

    Some musings of SEA...a debate?

After Pearl harbour the Japs invaded in search of resources for their empire, proving the ineptitude and apathy of the US and Brit military leadership.
Thailand’s military and government immediately capitulated and stood by along with the west while the Japs used and abused prisoners as slave labour.
Pleas from Australia for materiel and support per pending invasion went unheeded by the arrogance of Churchill et al one notes. If it was not for the ill equipped, underfed extremely brave diggers on PNG repelling the Japs who knows ....

Could the Chinese be thinking along the same lines and what would be the reaction of the west and Australia?

Crepitas, I personally do not believe that Chinese-influenced conspirators will round you up and turn you in to build the proposed Thai-China rail-link.
The powers-to-be well understand that local SEA labour markets are extremely economical and they're not seeking older gentleman to feed.

I concur that anything can happen in LOS.
Alleviating you of your hard-earned money is a whole other matter.
I believe that your loving family can take care of that issue much better than an outsider can or could. (lol)

Don't worry as a Sang Som and cola on ice will allow you to ruminate and delve deeper into more important and probable scenarios for the future.
    An oracle told me that.

Chinese are already invading Australia. Just go to any real estate auction in Sydney to watch them...

crepitas, China is a buyer, infiltrator, not an invader, look how badly they went in Vietnam, border conflict, always used, infiltration, people and money, not war.
There are not very good at warfare.

They are using huge cash and gold reserves to buy mineral rights all over the world. The increase in expeditionary forces capability, i.e. carriers, subs and warships, is to protect those rare minerals from piracy on the high seas.

Invading? How about telling Aussies that sell their property to them that they are traitors . . .

People want to sell and they want to buy - have the laws on property ownership changed

SEA is crumbling in every direction. Look at any country in isolation and they are all struggling on different fronts. Take them collectively, and significant collapse seems imminent.

    Mate, Don't sweat it.

When I first came to Thailand in 87 the Aussie paso pulled 18 baht to the Australia dollar.

Jesus, I must say all these financial wars leaves me under whelmed.

I really do not give a flying fuk, I've factored in the worse case scenario and that is me dying of fookin cancer or some other horrid disease.

    Besides that it's all good.
