In Penang they're the majority so things do work better than in the rest of semananjung . . .

I spent a week up in Penang recently, working - what a difference to KL . . . exceot the people drive even worse than here.

In egalitarian societies the Chinese (second generation) don't stand out economically
simply because they don't have to, to survive

Erm, the beers cheap.

The Rasa Sayang do a great Sunday buffet with a great sunset. there's also a nice restaurant called tree monkey near Ferrimghi which is Thai owned underneath a canopy of screeching monkeys. Another swanky place you'd like, Mr Hat would be Macallister Mansion.
