OK, I haven't gone into great detail, I just happened to notice an ad on the tube last night. However, this has the support of Mastercard so it must be bonafide. Will leave posters to form their own opinions;

My brain started to hurt when reading the conditions but :
-£2 per month during which your Account is inactive.
- In addition, you may be charged by the operator of the cash machine.
- Fee for a charge back. £10 ( Whatever a charge back is?)
Someone smarter than me will have to tell us if there is any benefit.

^ I had only a cursory look, the details you have read suggest it wasn't as good as it looked but then perhaps that's no surprise. Having read a bit more since it is actually nothing more than a prepaid card which I already possess although not by the same company. On those there is a small charge for every transaction but whether it works out cheaper than a credit card I don't know.
Here's a compare link, for best pre-paid cards.
