No wonder that Thailand attracts so many fascist expats.

Considering the appalling state of the Thai education system it not surprising that they are unaware of Hitlers questionable decisions.

Historically steeped within Thai dictators [for life] circles...

This guy was an avid admirer of Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo

    Phibun Songram

    ...as were these two -
    Sarit Thanarat - A
    Thanom Kittikachorn - B

    A

    B

I am sure that goes for most "educated" people from the west regarding their leaders questionable decisions.

Ultimately does it even really matter if thai people don't know that Hitler was a bad guy? Who gives a shit? Don't think there is a huge Jewish population in Thailand.
I'm not saying it was Aliens, but it was Aliens!

It's not a joke unless accompanied by a "boing" sound effect.

Erm, I think it's pretty widely accepted that Hitler (or Hilter even!) was guilty of a tad more then making 'questionable decisions', what with the whole holocaust and starting world wars and stuff.

The point western commentators always seem to miss is the inconvenient truth that Asians readily relate to fascism, tyranny and aggressive nationalism as a means of government if that entails wealth, power and order. That in pursuing these ideals they can immunise themesleves from the suffering of others and ignore murder, torture and grotesque oppression is a constant feature of their societies and is quite acceptable behaviou - " why you care, not your business " sort of thing.

Asians aren't very good at racist - free empathy and as such are somewhat less than human. It's no surprise really that they rarely understand intuitively that Hitler and Nazism were aberrations of humanity, their exploitation and discrimination of the Burmese etc et al and the treatment of the Rohingya as untermenschen evidences this defect in their character.

Like all children, the Thai can be particularly nasty, brutish and cruel.

Two out of the three are European inventions. Do you think this counts as an example of successful technology transfer?

Hmm. Who is, I wonder. Any suggestions?

Lucky you managed to hit return between those two sentences.

I wonder how many Jews Hitler personally killed or how many battles he was in?

Needless to say his orders killed many.

Lets go one step further. How many innocents has Obama killed or how many battles he has fought in?

    Zero battles unless Basketball counts.

As far as innocents killed that # is hard to pin down.

United Nations reported that 2014 was the bloodiest year for civilians in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion – nearly 12,300 deaths and 35,000 total casualties, about double the number in 2013.

The war in Afghanistan (2001–present) has resulted in between 18,000 and 20,000 Afghan civilians being killed.[1] The war, launched by the United States as "Operation Enduring Freedom" in 2001, began with an initial air campaign that almost immediately prompted concerns over the number of Afghan civilians being killed[2] as well as international protests. With civilian deaths from airstrikes rising again in recent years.

I would hazard a guess that the # is very large.

    Maybe the comparatives are justified?

    .
Well, I did say they relate to them quite well, not that they originated the doctrines.

Pol Pot was quite a good example of this. He modelled his take on genocide on Robespierre's reign of terror which he saw as the main motivational tool in bending the people to his will.
Thaksin used it to a much lesser degree in his bogus war against drug taking and of course the Japs weren't shy about it all in exterminating the Chinese whenever the opportunity arose.

I shan't mention this country any more since that would be imprudent and against the forum rules.

Considering Bush started both wars and Obama is doing his level best to pull out, that's a pretty shit comparison to be honest.
