    George Clooney: Star or not?

Face it, George Clooney sucks | New York Post

Other than the Ocean's Eleven movies all his movies suck. Even those movies were carried by the names of other actors.

George Clooney as an actor sucks ... Agree?

"Of his 25 starring movies, four made a significant amount of money — that’s a .160 batting average. That ain’t cleanup hitter. That isn’t even big-league. If Clooney were a shortstop, his only prayer of staying on the team would be if he were the owner’s son".

    Clooney is a goofball:

Pretty darn good song there though ...

Never had an issue with his acting. I've got 15 of his films in my files.

The amount of money a movie makes has little to do with the quality of the movie or the acting. Imo the opposite is the case.

He needs to start doing some of those X Men or Transformers movies to be thought of a top movie star.

Others who cannot really act are Michael Caine, Rodger Moore and the awful Sean Connery.

Clooney has received eight Academy Award nominations, winning two, Best Supporting Actor in 2005 for Syriana and as co-producer of 2012 Best Picture winner, Argo. Clooney and Walt Disney are the only people to have ever been nominated in six different categories.
He's had a fair career so far I'd say.

Has limited range as an actor, can do goofball or roles where he can be a smug asshole.
    Little else.

Have you even seen Syriana or are you just being a twat for the sake of it?

Liked him when he was on ER. Thought he did a fair job in A Perfect Storm
But he's not an actor I rush out to see his movies like i would for say Deniro, Hoffman or Day-Lewis.

I think he is the new Carey Grant type of actor, good at straight roles and comedy.
Liked Syriana,O brother where art thou, men who stare at goats, burn after reading.
The only black mark i have against him is the movie with that useless ranga
Nicole Kidman, some shit action-spy bit of crap, don't remember the name but had to sit through it on a plane flight.
He must of did it just to buy a new ferrari or a country, cannot stand that Kidman.

I believe you're referring to The Peacemaker [with Kidman] - a predictable political/terrorism vehicle.

Three Kings wasn't too bad as another feel-good political piece.

De Niro has been in a lot of awful films recently, tbh. From "Taxi Driver" "Raging Bull" and "Godfather" et el, to rom coms and Jason Statham films.?

You're right and it reminded of those awful movies he made in the role of a father in law with Ben Stiller.
