If people stop paying the mortgage why should it not be repossessed?

Bailiffs often act outside the law, it's unusual to find plod that actually understand this and stand down instead of backing them up in their unlawful theft from their victims.

Seems there acting outside the law on a regular basis now, and the Tories want to trash the human rights act.

Personally, I don't see why any home should be re-possessed once mortgaged. The remedy for the institution in preserving the asset is by placing a charge on the property preventing its sale and securing a court judgment in respect of any debt arising out of non - payment of mortgage charges.
If settlement can't be reached within a reasonable timeframe, e.g 5 years then the mortgagor should be permitted to claim off an insurance indemnity taken out when the property was first mortgaged. The asset and any outstanding liability would then pass to the insurers to await the passage of time when the property is eventually vacated.

Seizing a property physically, rendering occupants homeless, is as anachronistic as debtors' prisons and has no place in modern society. This practice should be outlawed immediately.

That scouser was a top man and I should want him on my side in a tight spot any day of the week. Excellent performance.

The country is on it's arse man. I have been back about 18 months and i have seen people queuing of food banks in three different towns. The Gov't want to take the Human Rights Act away from UK citizens.
0 hour contracts are becoming the norm for many.

The slashing of all public spending has now began ( they waited to after the election ) No more winter fuel heating allowance for over 65 , OAPs freeze to death every winter because they are afraid to turn on the heating )

Torys now want to be able to take funds from your account without notice if there is another " Economic Collapse " This happened in Cyprus, when the Gov't had no money left.......They simply took it.
Can you see me if i stand here?

I did not think you had to queue at these place, but of course people will for anything that is free. Those same 'poor' almost certainly have big telly's the latest playstations and phone and spend chucks of cash on beer and fags every week and stuff their faces with expensive processed and fast food.

Yes it's true the poor do have iPhones Ive seen them, and Macboik pros, they blow all of the states hard earned money on drugs and beer, they have a hundred children each and get sick intentionally to claim disability benefit, and the streets are paved with gold and rainbows sprout from their coddled arses

Breny, its going to get much worse than that. have you seen the latest wikileaks on tory policy in the event of an election victory.

"all first born males of immigrant gypsies and long term benefit claimants will be forcibly taken by an elite squad of social workers specially recruited from recently released violent criminals and sold to human traffickers for enslavement in the cornish tin mines mines and the huge profits gleaned from this trade will be used to finance the building of a massive luxury superyacht "The john prescott " for use in the caribbean by bank managers, stockbrokers and old etonians"
