Well bugger me dead and call you a poofter. did you have a peek the video I attached. I watched a pub gig by the Chisel in the early 80's. His talent, style, voice and charisma stuck out like dogs nuts.
Perhaps it takes a person with similar attributes to recognize them in other people.

And I too had personal contact with Jimmy a few years back, about 15 or so.
He was walking in Perth's Hay Street Mall towards the WACA.
I was walking the other way towards him.
I stopped in in front of him and said
'Jimmy Barnes, your' Jimmy Barnes from Cold Chisel, I am a huge fan'
to which he replied
'Get out of the way'

The man was a freak, both regarding his talents and his dark side but without doubt a one in a life time performer.

He made so many so much money and without doubt was a great front man/ kid as this clip prooves.
