I suggest turning the music off, why pick such maudlin music for this I have no idea.
What time appropriate not depressing tunes would posters suggest?

It's nice to see the old cars. It would be good to see a video of the same journey taken recently - for a then and now comparison.
Is it me or did everyone move slower those days?
yes a nice leisurely pace it was.
and no sports cars.
Not like today then , carnage it was!:)
Nice find there sheriff !
Lovely old cars with character. Parking space everywhere. Streets full of civilized people and a distinct absence of Chavs and Coons......and you could probably get about 20 pints of ale for a pound....
99% of the population had never tasted Pizza or battered deep fried chicken, and were still several decades away from becoming citizens of a backwater of the Eurozone; as well as habitual wine drinkers; having fish-n-chips replaced by curry as the main takeaway food.......and hearing Allahu Akbar being chanted in the streets......
Very nostalgic Koojo.....:)
Underground electrical distribution. Way ahead of their time.
How kind of you to provide proof, not that it was needed, of how uncivil so many people are.Quote:

so coons is ok but wogs not allowed then?
Clair de Lune - Debussy is not maudlin or depressing at all. It's a beautiful piece and evokes an atmosphere drenched in " recherche le temps perdu " and therefore perfect for this clip.
West London and so no glimpses of bomb sites which would have littered the East End at that time. The " Windrush years " were just beginning then as London Transport grappled with its shortfall in manpower because " we never had it so good " and no one wanted to be a clippie.
Actually, I don't think Kensington High St environs have changed much except of course for all the Arabs etc.
