a fair proportion of the westerners who end up beached in thailand.

bridges burnt, stuck in toxic marriages to harridans, fuelled with steak pies, alcohol and bile and without the ability to extricate themselves from their situation.

there are a quite a few in hua hin.

On a hedonistic level, there is something advantageous to be had with a vapid headed woman - Thai or otherwise.

The smarter they get - the higher maintenance they become. Deep conversation that you crave comes at a heavy price.

Scrolled back a bit in this thread and read some really heavy BS!

    For example, this one:

    4) Thai women adapt poorly in other countries. Thais tend to be very particular about their culture and even food. If you notice, Thais tend to congregate in tight knit communities when abroad who rarely venture outside this comfort zone. The lack of proactive adaptive behavior and ambition means you need to constantly be the anchor for them outside of their comfort zone. This is true if you take them out o the country into a separate Asian culture. Thais born abroad are different however but they are not considered native Thai for all intents and purposes."

If anything, Thai women are more adaptive to foreign domains, cultures than any race of people I've ever encountered. Pooying Thai are literally all over the globe doing extremely well.

    No I do not,

I do Picture Threads, comment on travel and generally engage in light friendly banter with like minded members.

    That said,
Once in a while we find ourselves amongst a first class sad arsed wanker who has nothing positive to add to this forum except stories regarding his sad pathetic retarded fuking life.

That is you by the way.

Fuck off huh. Best to just end it all now and top yourself.

    Sad fookin coont.

OK, my bad for not having read thru more of this thread.

Yeah, guess there is a somewhat significant 'Farang Kee-Nok' population in HH & Pattaya. I avoid that subculture like the plague.

But very few have farang female friends, at all.
If it were not for female relatives of the spouse many wouldn't have any social intercourse with any female farang.

There is very little congress between them at all in my experience and most tend to hook into their own kind.

Well....yes, with reservations. I don't see it quite as starkly. It seems to me that slight vapid-headedness comes together with femininity. In fact I think it goes hand in hand with high estrogen levels.

I had a very bright Chinese girlfriend....in fact two....and they were just too bright for the good of our relationship.
My wife (Thai) is such a lovely person, and her very slight vapidity and lack of mindfulness seem to go together with her femininity. I have also noticed this in other women.

there is nothing advantageous at all to had with a vapid headed woman, unless of course one is a vapid headed man.

    Yes well Thegent,

Those farang bints seem to take a while to dial into a Katoey.

They feel threatened by their looks.

Tax is quite the stunner I'm told.

Perhaps they tend to hook into their own kind more due to such common tastes as in food, Thai holidays e.g. Sonkran, Loy Kratong etc.

What this poster has learned from a lot of years married to a Thai is they regard Farang women - especially Americans as naive.

    I tend to agree.

It seems perfectly natural to me that a Thai lady moving overseas may feel comfortable around her own kind.

Once she has dialed things in a tad she would possibly feel a bit more comfortable meeting locals.

Same for any new migrant huh.

    Agree with that HH ^^^.

I also agree that some expats tend to look down on the Thais in general as lazy, vapid and illogical.

To those gents I usually state, "Sure. Now what exactly is the reason that you've decided to make your future life here ?"

You missed one out, lazy, vapid, illogical and corrupt. Why people live here is none of your business and if all foreigners left Thais would still be as hopeless as they are now. Hell they can't even go a few years without an illegal coup.

Love how some people love to point out how corrupt Thailand is. Is it really anymore corrupt than your own country, Or is it that the corruption in Thailand is more noticeable to you because you can participate in it as it's at your financial level, whereas in your own country you can't afford to participate in the obvious corruption?

    WTF is an illegal/legal coup....?
They just are - no legal precedent associated.
