How many will die over the Songkran period?

I reckon road deaths with a few drunken shootings thrown in should bring the total up to a healthy 1107.

    What's your guess?

^ You haven't been keeping up with the economic news (less than happy predictions). It is predicted that people will spend/give less to temples/monks/make merit or whatever this songkran, but spend more money on booze. That to me means more booze filled drivers and riders and more deaths. I've no idea what led them to their predictions. Glass ball, palm readings, tarot cards, magic?

I got an email Thursday night from an old acquaintance , her best mates husband had just been killed by some drunken moron ,, he was on his way back home after working away .

20 years of marriage ended at a stroke .

I hate this stupid fkin time of the year here and will avoid being here at all costs during this period

Be interesting to know the statistics for life changing injury's also.

These sobering statistics are often uncounted.
