Hi - nice to meet you all

    Hi
I was googling Thailand to find out more about the 1985 death of Australian journalist Neil Davis in Bangkok.

I have a lot of a lot of health problems and some members of my family have turned against me because of them. Been called a "burden".

I'm sorry if i'm troubling anyone. I'm just keen to make friends and support in my research.

All I know about Neil Davis was what I read in One Crowed Hour, which was an excellent book.

    Have you read it?

Diabetes stunted my growth, giving me a childlike appearance, even in later life. It also gave me other difficulties.

One of my heroes is Australian children's author Paul Jennings who writes weird and scary stories for children.

Inspired by Jennings, I turned my problems into a short story where a an arrogant teenager is turned into a young female child and subsequently suffers humiliation at the hands of his sister.

Not a troll. I also put in Davis's colleagues names into google, hoping to find articles relating to Davis. One of them was mentioned on this forum - Bruce Baskett.

Yes. It was in an article in the Herald Sun. I'm from Melbourne. You're pretty quick to judge.

So am I. The AV is tasteless in the extreme. I strongly suggest you change it. Like now.

Oh, most of us manage okay, regardless...But there are a handful of arseholes everywhere, so get used to it, even after years...

Do you like old TV? I'm a fan of old Britcoms. Drop the Dead Donkey in particular, especially the American evangelist episode.

Is there a collective noun for a handful of arseholes?

Heh...Don't see why not...Up to you...I like how language constantly changes...

Maybe the Chinese can help us with this one...Didn't someone post a picture of a barrel of ducks' arseholes for sale by the pound in a market somewhere?...

That one really made me wonder about "value for your dollar," and the concepts of nothingness...

Like buying a donut hole, innit?...Or dough ring, if you will...

You: What do you do for a living?...

Her: Oh, I clean ducks' arseholes down at the market...

    You: Nice...Are they hiring?...

Heh...We had an old black and white RCA, I believe...But got rid of it a few years back...

Came from the sixties, when there was only one channel, then two, in town...

Now, that's what I call old TV...Those family moments were priceless...Everyone together...

Makes me wish I'd experienced the old "radio days"...

It's Thailand , it attracts people like this, they believe in reincarnation, and try to come back again and again.
