Teaching an old dog new tricks.

Take care of your fluid intake as the temperatures ramp up.

    This morning, about 9 o'clock, i fainted.

Not a problem in itself, even though it's never happened before, the problems came from cracking my head when i hit the tiled floor.

A few stitches and a very sore head later, i'll be ok 'till next time.

Doctor reckons i may have overheated/dehydrated.

Drink plenty of water folks - you know it makes sense.

people don't just faint at 9am because it's a bit warm, unless you are a late 19th century woman..
Heat prostration has serious symptoms which you would have noticed.

I think you have a tumor.
    Or lupus.

Withnall, I have no idea as to the medical reason, however if you are married check for a large dent in the frying pan.

Sounds like a badly timed spiked drink any extra soreness around your chocolate starfish first thing this morning. Rohypnol slipped in your chang by a horny village animal elephant, goat, monkeys can't trust them on a first date.

I drink 4 litres of water a day with a packet of New Tower powdered electrolyte ( 6 baht a sachet ) mixed in with each bottle. The days of waking up in the night with cramp are long gone.

BTW...not a good idea if you have diabetes

Another simple electrolyte formula is 1 flat tspn salt + 1 flat desert spn sugar to a litre of water, sipped slowly through the day.

    pH 7 aprox.

If the doctor was a Thai doctor with Thai qualifications you may have gotten a more correct diagnoses from asking your underpants what they thought happened.

Never, ever, ever, believe what a Thai trained doctor tells you.

    Ever.

I've started having one of them when I get home from the gym everyday, about 500ml cold water from the fridge and one of those packets. No idea if they're just marketing crap or if they're actually good at rehydration. Taste nice anyway and are refreshing which is all I'm looking for in a drink at that time of day.

    Ever.
Should be clarified - A Thai doctor trained and condition under a Western allopathic practice, as opposed to Thai [Asian] traditional practitioners.

You need ganja, and lots of it.

The oil would hit the button.

Not necessarily...dehydration tends to creep up on you. It might manifest itself as a headache, which makes you somewhat mentally impaired and you wouldn't put two and two together. If you notice your urine being exceptionally dark - like a dark red beer your doctor might advise you to stay in for a few days with the a/c on and drink plenty of liquids...

No, not that sort of liquids.

    I'm surprised stitches were needed.
