Thainess.
Quite the opposite of Buddhist.
How these people ever convince themselves that they are a decent, peaceful, happy people is really amazing. Just as well their indoctrination begins at birth, otherwise they'd never believe it.
Who the fuck put this video together? Turn the feckin' music down!! So does anyone know what actually happened cos I couldn't hear a feckin' word she said?
Kicking a chickenhead's car is tantamount to asking if you can butt fuck his mother but to try it on with a taxi driver is dicing with death. Doubtless, the passenger was ejected in the wrong place and at the whim of the driver. I do empathize with the poor fucker but if one wants revenge then my practice is to simply leave the rear door slightly ajar as I walk away. Less confrontational and one's point is made.
We got a taxi from Klong Toey market back to our new place in Bang Chak.
Brought some sea food so ice was put in the bags to keep it cool on the way back the moisture from the outside of the bag left a little bit of water on the rubber floor mat.
Taxi driver wanted 5 baht to clean a few drips of water up.
Fascists dress in black and go around telling people what to do, whereas priests... more drink!
If yopu are gonna kick someone's taxi, you can't just stand around while the monkey opens the boot

This situation could play out in any country given the circumstances.
what circumstances are those? even by your extreme standards of fawning thai-worship you know full well that such responses from taxi drivers are more likely in thailand than in civilised western countries, didnt an american passenger get himself hacked to death on sukhumvit road last year by a samurai wielding taxi driver who lost his temper over a 20baht shortfall in the fare? This situation could play out in any country given the circumstances.
too many thai taxi drivers are nothing more than criminally insane psychopaths, existing in a toxic miasma of barely controlled rage and frustrations just one step from the madhouse, and all too willing to vent those frustrations on their customers.
the wrench was not thrown in an act of self defence, it was thrown in a fit of childish petulant anger, and in any civilised country attacking somebody with a large heavy metal wrench for no good reason will land you in court where you would be found guilty.
but as we all know thailand is not by any stretch of the imagination a civilised country, and such an act of violence would in all probability be justified by the court because the passenger somehow caused the taxi driving ape retard to lose face.
I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that it ain't up to them to convince themselves...It's being done for them,,,They're not allowed to convince themselves "anything"...Originally Posted by Dan

Didn't watch the video but I think I got the gist of it...Terry's got it right...If you have problems with your ride, just part ways with the driver and get on to "the next"...It can be quite easy...
I really can't remember having any "real" trouble with drivers...Apart from the speeding issue, and fooking racetrack driving...That's the only deadly issue one should have to deal with...
I suppose that if you have a bad attitude your "mileage may vary"...I like to hear their "stories"...So I have a pretty good time...And I usually tip them well...
I suppose the only times things have gotten exciting has been with Aussie mates...And they've always commented on how well I treated the drivers...
Saw a Thai cabbie on Samui a few years ago hit a scandinavian guy with a wheel-brace. Hard. From behind. Don't know what the disagreement was about, but he was bang out of order. Luckily he missed the guys head and hit him in the shoulder but he still went down like a sack of shit.
He was soon surrounded by other farang and he couldn't (or wouldn't) accept that he was in the wrong. Twat.
In a separate incident in Bangkok’s Thong Lor district, another taxi driver slapped a Finnish tourist in the face when questioned about the “higher-than-usual” fare.
Thong Lor police said two Finnish tourists took the taxi, licence plate number “1 มก (Mor Kor) 665 Bangkok’ from Khao San Road to their hotel on Soi Sukhumvit 20 on Tuesday night.

I wonder if the Finnish guy used good grammar and put his commas in the right place...Yasojack was almost free from jail, save a comma that was missed...Originally Posted by Hans Mann

I think the difference between me and you Tax is that I am totally unaffected by these reports. This is quite a normal reaction from a Bangkok taxi driver and is reported widely on every internet forum world wide.
Hence I actually expect the vast majority of punters to take this on Board and not provoke the drivers. Don't kick his fukin Taxi. Not hard is it. ?
The other night I was sitting outside my Condo on Silom enjoying a quiet Beer.
Along comes this agitated Farang, he flags down a Taxi but it was peak hour and the Driver did not want his fare due to the intended destination I suppose.
In this situation one just waits for a cab that is going your way. There are millions of taxi's working different parts of the city.
Anyway the Farang spits the dummy and smashed the door shut that hard I thought it would fall off.
Fuk me mate, I shit you not, I was waiting for the driver to Jump out and fuk this guy right up.
It was his lucky Day, the Taxi drove away.
So there you go, do dumb shit at one's own peril.
We are not in Nanny Land.
Allegedly 550 Bt from KSR to Suk 20. Yep, that's a high fare alright and a definite attempt at theft. Challenging a chickenhead taxi driver when he's taking the piss is construed as provocative behaviour among the subset species and should only be undertaken after first delivering a short, sharp blow to his head with a blunt instrument.
Although the species is inclined to docile imbecility in its natural habitat, confrontation can stress the animal to the point of incoherent, inappropriate rage and is dangerous when cornered.
Best avoid in these circumstances and feed it whatever it thinks it needs.
Look, given the massive amounts of Taxi's that troll Bangkok there are sure to be some real coonts driving a few of them.
Thing is, in all my years I have never ever had any problem what so ever with one.
I may one day but up to now I have not.
Terry, my wife has more balls than you. She tells the fuckers where to get off whenever they pull their shit on us. So far, the driver has always sulked, took the abuse on the chin and fucked off. On one occasion a driver made to step towards her after getting out of his cab but when I interposed my sturdy frame and intimidated him with Bei Otto's finest Bratwursts he melted away like the pussy he was.
Terry, man up and stop being such a girlie wuss. You're letting the side down with your craven appeasement.
^ Hey Thegent,
Already told you I have never had a problem with them. True story.
But fuk me mate,
If your wife has more balls than me you would be well advised to get yourself a new lady boy.
Yes it was a cheap shot on my part. Quite unfair of me and I withdraw it immediately.
Terry is struggling to suppress his evident latent homosexuality whilst paradoxically giving it free rein. Sequestering himself among the capital's core of poofterdom in Silom where he disports his vibrant moustache, utility belt and starry- eyed wonderment to such gay effect is the message here and we should support him as he wrestles with his identity crisis.
Hugging taxi drivers certainly suggests a penchant for the rougher side of the meat trade but perhaps he is still finding his feet.
In fairness, that's a pretty sizeable slurp of the good stuff.Originally Posted by taxexile
