    Still got the moves . . .

In the kitchen, balancing getting the chook roast out of the oven and flipping the Rösti - Mrs Hat is at a conference in town - . . . when the youngest one comes bopping through the house with this playing:

. . . and the long dormant rhythm come to the fore and I'm showing the little upstart how to move . . .

Quite a catchy song, so while the ground floor is rapidly emptying and the maid mumbles something about needing to sweep the lawn . . . I search for and play:

I must have lost 2kgs 'gettin' down' around the house . . . I also lost one dog, two daughters and one maid . . . but it was worth it

    What a heartwarming anecdote.

I (almost) hate to be the one to break it to you but people pretty much stopped saying 'bopping' about the time that colour tv became popular.

Try rolling over and checking if they are trapped in a fold of your flesh, failing that investigate if your gravitational field has ensnared them in a stationary orbit behind you.

I've never heard of the first song or singer (thank fock), but Van Halen's Jump is s cool song. I'm not so sure about dancing to it, though.

Send out a search party for the dog, the daughters and the maid, PH.

Here are some "SEARCHERS" to hep you, with a love potion for you to try.

I must admit, whenever i hear Jump i do actually do a little jump in the air.

The last time was in the Levi's shop in Geneva around Christmas time.

It was good, a sort of litttle guinea pig jump but a good one.

    Happy song.

I did notice after my few jumps around the jeans than no one else was doing it. So i left. And went to the pub and they put it on full blast and lots of people were doing the moves!!!

Note cat X in my Avatar....

Listening to your vid up there whilst doing the dishes, i did do a wee jump. You sort of know it's coming and then JUMP - great song!!! Makes me smile.

Maybe Ocker is up to date afterall...

    bopping
When a male slaps his erect penis on a females clit over and over...Often times in rhthym with music.
    bopping
The action of sucking a penis, also known as giving head
    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bopping

It would explain why the maid and dog went missing

Nah, i stick with Van Halen - in fact i sent that same video to my fussybook freinds and they still jump a bit too!! Especially two, who i do remember jumping with way back when.

Do you show your boxers when you are out. I certainly don't. I feel a bit sorry for the wee fatty in the back of that pic.

I would recommend reading the book "Red" by Sammy Hagar for any Van Halen fans.

It demonstrates what a complete pair of fuck-ups the Van Halen brothers were.

This thread has singularly failed to address the main question - how the roast chicken and rösti? Sounded great...

Thanks, Nid. My apologies but QC turned me into Gangsta Mode when I am really a contemporary and

The roast chook was done to perfection - free range chook and the Rösti was quite nice as well - half with onions, the other without, using US potatoes in a cast-iron pan to keep the heat . . . makes flipping a bit tough but I'm quite capable as I am - as mentioned above - not averse to being a bit gangsta at times.

(Made chicken salad for the kids' lunches today. Leftover chicken, chopped apples, lots of olives and mayo with a few gherkin pieces. . . . I'm spending too much time at home)

However, I now hate you. Still in the office and getting peckish, and your chik salad sounded good...
