Thread: The lowdown: flying in with Diazepam and Alprazolam?

Finishing up a month in Cambo, and stocked up on the above (160 and 80 respectively).

Is that an issue at DM airport?

You can buy that stuff over the counter at half the pharmacies in Thailand.

Why smuggle it in from Cambo?

^ it's about 500 baht for 10mg zanax (same as 100 mg diazis), proper stuff nowadays, so it's expensive, but I wouldn't smuggle drugs over international borders... I know diazis and zanax are just like a beer, but that's not how the law sees it. As Looper says, don't break the law with this stuff cause you'll be regretting it if caught (which is random and you may be...).

If he has 160 diazepam, and let's say they are 5mg tablets then he'd be good to do all of ém. I used to be a bit of a monster on that stuff, I've done about 120mgs for a flight, but I'd been taking it regularly for years and was still totally fuked. What's he gonna do with the other 136 tablets??? I suppose, if he did that, he wouldn't care...



I once flew in to Heathrow with about 3500 mgs of diazis (all for personal use), wrecked, obviously, and I wasn't stopped. But, you wouldn't wanna be stopped with more diazis than you have a prescription for nowadays... Get a doctors letter, OP.

I have had diazepam confiscated by Aussie customs but there was no fine.

I have normally been OK with taking it through (not in large quantities).

Years ago Looper... Thought nothing of doing 10 Es, 20 pints of Guinness, a bottle of vodka, 2 or 3 acid, whatever mushrooms I could find and as much coke as the wallet allowed each day on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday then whacking 3 or 4 pints of beer in the lounge and 50mgs of diazis on a Monday morning business trip... Crazy really, I regret wasting all me time and money on that crap, but that was pretty normal in London back in those days...

I've done it before. Into Thailand and China.

A couple of good stiff drinks on the way to the airport to mix with the zanax would suffice until you get to the airport and step it up from there... If you get on the plane and are compusmentus then something is very wrong...

Might just stick a box or two in the bag, as I'm on holiday, and preferring Cambo to Thailand this time around, but need to drop into Thailand to collect some things.

I use them for sleep.

I am a light sleeper sometimes.

Dosing yourself gets you a good nights zzz.

Zolpidem Tartrate (Ambien) is better than benzodiazepines but also can cause dependency so has to be rationed.

The amount I have is for a year or more, since I might need to do another contract in that country.

None needed in SEA.

Benzos can become really bad news. As Looper said, I'd go carefully on that stuff.

On another note. I want to take maybe 20-30 Atarax 25mg with me when I fly out. Sometimes take them to sleep and they're cheap here. Usta be non-script in LOS but I think they've changed that. Shouldn't be a problem?

Gotta agree. In exceptional crisis shit they can be a short-term bridge, but to take them like some bored housewife is fukkin sad.

I had a mate bring me some Valium to Bangkok from Lao when I was stuck in the hotel room having to lie facedown for 2 weeks while the detached retina reattached, Helped with the boredom and made sleeping in that position easier, They are still readily available over the counter in Lao, but not so much in thailand these days, A few weeks back they wouldn't even sell me a box of 2 mil Nicolette gum until the pharmacist returned, And don't get me started about those conts in the 7/11 not selling a beer certain hours of the day.
