I was under the impression there was no bone or cartilage in the penis so what is it that cracks?

the spongy sausage shaped sacs in the penis that become engorged with blood when erect will rupture or burst if bent too much during a heavy off centre downward thrust by the female, especially if the vagina is dryish and the penis cant slide back into it.

best to get some slobber in there first if the lady doesn't naturally moisten up, although you would think that by the time shes ready to climb on she'd be foaming like a shaken can of guinness anyway.
