    Freedom? At what price . . .

Possibly a slightly misleading title, I'll admit.

Took the day off and drove the Panama Hat ladies to the airport this morning where they caught a flight to Singapore to board a cruise liner for ten days or so.

At times Mrs Hat goes off for two days on legal conferences or similar but the rest of the family stays here, then usually I'm the one to depart on business so not much thought is given to the parting feelings.

I feel sad. . . and lonely . . . only the maid and two dogs around.

Ah one of the conundrums of life.

Before you have the freedom to do what you want, you need to have something you want to do!

Think how grateful she will be; go on, it's the right thing to do; Stoker would (after he'd buggered the pets).

That lonely feeling soon gives way to a feeling of weightlessness and the unbearable lightness of being free from pressure.
You won't even remember them in two days time.

Good idea, but with the maid running around and letting the girls play on deck at night . . . perhaps not the best of ideas!~~
