My favorite human beings of all time the Great humanitarian and magnificent blues singer is dead.

Seen Joe many time, first time was 76 in Townsville Australia.

My mate and I actually drove from Perth To Adelaide in 82 to see him, blew spliffs all the way cranking up his vibes.

    Sad fukin day it is.

3 days before Christmas as well.

Love Ya Joe, you were the man.

Merry Christmas Joe. 70 years young.

We share the same feelings about the man Terry and he was my favourite male vocalist without any doubt.

His days with Mad Dogs and Englishmen were fantastic and I will remember and appreciate his talent for the rest of my life.

Only saw him once, around 2001 at the New Orleans Arena, opening the show for Tina Turner during her 'farewell' tour. Turner put on a good show, or at least quite spectacular. However, Joe's opening set would have been hard to better by any other performer. He was absolutely outstanding, and Tina was an anti climax because of it.

    Great guy, an inspiration.

Had a long term struggle with drug and alcohol then finally a long struggle with small cell lung cancer.

    RIP.

Never saw him play but I do remember driving from Launceston to Hobart in Tasmania late one evening with a mate I think in 1994.
Getting close to Hobart we thought we thought we would turn on the FM radio for some tunes. Joe was playing. Not being much of a fan I changed the channel to another joe song. I changed it a third time and sure it enough - it was Joe.
I am sure that there were no more FM stations in Hobart back then so we ended back at the first station chuckling about the coincidence so JC playing across the band width.
With Joe blaring on the rental car radio we suddenly realised why as we drove past the Derwent entertainment centre and saw the big sign proclaiming "Joe Cocker - Live tonight!"
Following that I actually grew up to appreciate the amazing voice that he had.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

Ive followed his story for 30 odd years.

He pulled himself together after meeting his wife, he really done many positive things after that.

On his Mad Dog Ranch in Crawford Colorado he settled into a small community and would retreat there after his tours.

In that small community he done much to help the Children and underprivileged.

Would play concerts for the locals with all money returning to the community.

    Helped out so many people.

A great humble man was Joe, see his interviews and he was a very unassuming person and quiet by nature. Polite to all.

A real regular Joe, from Gas fitter to world class act.

Worth 60 million when he died.

On You Tube there is a live concert from Joe when he performed in Europe 2013.

Real good it is, never heard him sing some of those songs.

His voice in good shape considering he was 69, backed by a cracking band.

    Check it out.

I had the pleasure of seeing him live twice, at an open air festival here.

Magic, pure magic, he held the 30,000 people in his hand.

He shall live on in our hearts and memories.

I think it's the Dusseldorf concert that you are talking about.

ya.. Joe had a great voice!

Saw him once in a small venue in Seattle (late 80's).

    He was a musical treasure!
