Do It Yourself.
About a year ago, the tap on the bathroom sink started to swivel whilst turning it on or off.
It still worked, so i wisely ignored the inconvenience, and simply used 2 hands, one to hold the tap and one to turn it on/off.
This worked fine until this morning, when i forgot to hold it, and the tap lay there on its side. A quick look under the sink and i located a plastic nut thingy that had come loose. After a sit down and a think, i decided to remedy the situation, it simply needed tightening back up by hand.
To steady myself, i held onto the U shaped thing, there was a loud crack, and pints of black stinking stuff washed down my hand and arm.
A disaster, as i am neither plumber nor tool possessor.
I took off all the rusted metal shit, showered myself and went to a nearby hardware store for a replacement.
Whilst replacing this, i moved the water pipe connecting the inlet to the tap and nearly lost an eye as a jet of water spurted into my face from the now split pipe.
I yelled at the mrs to go outside and turn off the fucking water before i drown.
Off to the hardware store again for a length of pipe.
I replaced the pipe and turned tha water back on at the mains. A thin jet of water came from the new pipe.
Bollocks, i'll try the tap.
The tap worked a treat.
It worked so well that the water went down the plughole and straight onto my feet.
So, i have a new bathroom sink system that washes your hands, knees and feet at the same time.
I did notice that the sink itself was a bit loose on the wall.
I'm thinking of buying a new plastic bin and a scoop.
