    Thai feral dogs

    Thai feral dog story:
Used to have seven on our farm but due to various reasons of attrition now have just three. One alpha to two puppies there from.
We feed ‘em pilchard type fish and rice cooked in mega rice cooker.
I dole out equal measures in old rice cooker aluminum containers.
If I do not stand and watch they will fight at each others bowl.

Today went to wash out mixing bowl and take upstairs. Big fight noise.Go back down to finish my beer and they have played musical bowls ...same same in every bowl. Frickin dumb dogs!!

It's not about the food, it's about dominance.
My two do the same, same food but after a few minutes the dominant one will sidle up to the other one, who starts wagging his tail furiously, and then slowly start to eat from his bowl.
The younger one just goes over to the other bowl and keeps eating...

Why do you put all the food pans together? Make separate locations for each. They'll catch on.

You overestimate or underestimate the Thai dog...I put bowls out of sight from each dog...they catch on alright..run around to others' bowls...would have to put 'em in separate cages..55

Slap them silly...they'll learn fast. If you don't want them, just throw rocks at them a few times, they won't return. Got rid of four of the moochers that way.

BIL informed the wife, do not take in vagrant dogs, you become responsible for their actions: chicken killings, attacks on humans, and any other thing Thai's can conjour up to blame you for.

I like dogs, but I don't want to be tied to them or their instinctual actions and activities. Rampant reproduction being their main attraction in LOS.
