I like him. He's got it all sorted out in his head. And he sounds genuine and not condescending like that prick Cameron. Brand for PM at the next election.
I believe that he is genuine. The concerns he highlights should be the concerns of us all.
The only downside to his argument that I can see is that, whilst he very clearly highlights the problems, he offers little in the way of constructive solutions.
His detractors use this against him. However identifying the problem is the initial step and he has done this better than most before him.
I also think that he was a lucky bastard having been married to Katy Perry.
^ Correct.
His ideas, when he does articulate them are absurd.
He basically want Kibutz living to be the norm.
One of his ideas was to seize GM from it's shareholders and use it's vast resources for the "common good"....whatever that is.
Reminds me a bit of Neil from the Young Ones...Lets all sit around eating lentils and being positive...
While it was only a few years ago he was a vacant twat, he seems to have found his calling and be headed in the right direction. Hopefully he continues to learn and highly refine and focus his thinking.
Only trouble with that is he is encouraging everyone not to vote which is my main issue with him, if he's serious then register his party and put up candidates, UKIP and the Greens to a lesser extent have shown that serious inroads can be made into the stranglehold that LibLabCon have on British politics, no reason why with his appeal to certain people he can't do the same. Anyone taking votes away from LibLabCon whatever their policies is to be encouraged.
Think what you want about him the exposure he's getting is pretty amazing, his newsnight interview has had 10 million views. do a google and he's everywhere at present.

I think he meant GM as in Genetic Modification (as opposed to General Motors).Originally Posted by Necron99

I agree with all of the above ,it is all oart of the repressive tolerance described by inter alia Husserl Heiddeger and marcuse amost a century ago.

That puts you in the tiny minority.
See, I disagree with you on that. While Eric Shmidt may well be a dark horse in control, google/youtube are at heart "live".
The votes up or down on a youtube video are very VERY indicative - if you can understand the full context of when it was posted, on who's channel and who's voted - plus obviously comments.
If the world voted on global issues on youtube videos tied to passports -in real time - the world would be a very different place.
Obviously the corporations that run the planet would try everything in their power to stop such a transparent, open and instantaneous way of making global decisions.

^^I think you misunderstand the simple mathematics of it.
An issue has been raised.
682 people from around the world have responded to that said issue with
a) they agree (665)
b) they disagree (17)
So divide 100 (100%) by 682, that gives you a "percentage worth" of each punter (0.147%)
So then you times the 0.147% by people who agree with what Brand is saying (x 665) = 97.5%
And the people that don't agree with what Brand is saying (x 17) = 2.5%
So 2.5% disagree with what he's sayin - and 97.5% agree with what he's saying.
Therefore when you say
you are obviously disagreeing with him - which puts you in the tiny minority of only 2.5% of respondents.Originally Posted by Necron99

^ No, 98% of the people who heard what he had to say thought it was shit not worth voting on......
I thought it was admitting it? Jeez, even those fuckers are lying to me. It's enough to drive a man to drink I tell ya.Originally Posted by Iceman123
