Jan Michael Vincent, then and now

After "Big Wednesday" and "The Mechanic" he was probably todays version of Brad Pitt.

Jesus Christ almighty, How Can these high flyers let themselves fall so far ???

Look at the Drummer out of AC/DC. The fucker has morphed into a crack Addict yet is flush with cash and can do anything he wants in this life.

If one never had a pot to piss in I could possibly understand it but the high flyers leave me gutted.

I met him once in a Pat Pong bar. He looked so bad, I didn't recognize him until a mate told me who he was. He then came up to us and asked if we knew where he could score some dope. We told him, "wrong bar", and he staggered off down the road.

Gosh, that man used to get my teenage panties all in a twist. I had a poster of him on my wall along side David Cassidy. (who has also not aged very well).

Sad. Donny Osmond is still going strong...

ACDC not having a very good year. I hope they can get over whatever probs they have. Still one of the best bands in the world.

It's not something most guys would admit, it's something most guys would never have done, and that confirms my opinion of you as a wet one.
That year I saw the stones and deep purple,.
My little sister had the hots for Davis Cassidy though.

I did see Deep purple as well.

My hand Bag at the time made me take her to see David Cassidy, since she was providing blow jobs to myself in the back of my HR panel van she got to see David Cassidy.

    And further more Koojo,

Jan Michael Vincent was always on Hollywood's B list. He had a limited shelf life as an 'actor' because his appeal was based on his looks and not on his talent for breathing life into characters. Hollywood uses people like Jan Michael Vincent and spits them out when their novelty wears off. LA is full of former actors living out their golden years in subsisting on social security and small actor's guild pensions.

Cassidy doesn't look that bad for a 65 year old in a mug shot! He adorned my bedroom walls as a teeniebopper.

Vincent, on the other hand, has made a right mess of himself.

When you are a star sometimes it is best to burn than fade away.

These stars just did not immolate completely on their trajectory towards self-destruction.

Look at all the brightest of stars that died way before their prime and are legends.

Yet, he did have a reasonably short run [12-15 years] of overwhelming popularity throughout the 1970s and 1980s. He was everywhere - films of every sort [some high budget/low budget], continuing TV series, cameos/guest shots, etc...

Certainly wasn't the most primed and talented actor, but he was always working.

We tend to expect "our" celebrities and stars [of any stature] to have a rich full career in the public eye. That's just not the way it is...

A very very small percent of these types have a financially lasting career.

^^^ You can apply the financial pitfalls to many sports personalities as well.

Possibly several titans of business were in a game of sport category too prior to their demise.

    TOTALLY OFF TOPIC!
Back in 1967 when I was a little sprout, I wanted to go see the Monkees.

My father, now deceased, but who was far more a racist that I can ever aspire to be went in first. He came back out said, "You're not goin' in! There's some spook playing the guitar!"

We went home and it was only years later that I realized it was Jimi Hendrix who opened for the Monkees in Cleveland!
