I have never had any luck in lotteries or raffles etc.

In fact I never even buy the tickets now.

Have any members had a decent life changing win.

Playing the numbers is for suckers and anxious dreamers.

My mate won 25 grand opening a can of Kronenburg when he was 16. It ruined him. A grade science student who then when into the sharp decline a weeebit of cash on the hip can bring to a kid looking to impress girls.

^Thanks. It's the Philippines. Cock fighting (CHICKENS) is huge business. My wife plays the lottery occasionally, and wins small amounts now and again - but as we all know, lotteries just suck you dry over time.

My driver has a few birds that routinely kick ass. I guess my wife wins maybe $150 a month on them.

With California lotteries regularly paying out 6-8million dollars, $1 is little to pay for a week of dreams travelling the world first class. Seen a lady win $6million on a Las Vegas slot machine...never new men could move so fast trying to be her new friend.

I get a $5 ticket every week, and have twice won $1200. But they were separated by 11 years.

The second time, there was a funny coincidence though. I had got a big (and quite unfair, given the circumstances) speeding ticket a couple of weeks prior to that and paid it on Monday morning. $250....the biggest fine I've had, plus $200 to pay an ex-girlfriend to pretend it was her, so I didn't lose the points off my license. (Many people do that here, if it is a camera-detected offence. Though it's very naughty).

In the afternoon, I discovered I'd won $1200.

The cash for my first new motorbike came from a gambling win on the gee gees.

A six horse accumulator and all combinations (a Heinz 57 - 57 bets).

I once won a "breakfast" in a raffle at work in the UK. The sausages were rank and gave me food poisoning..

I've never "won" anything, tbh. Had to work for everything.

My old Dad won something on the football pool (would't say how much) went out bought himself a new suit and coat, shouted a round or two at his local, got pissed then mugged on the way home. Ruined his new outfit and emptied his pockets, should have shared his booty with the family instead.

I won a 27 inch iMac as a door prize at the office Christmas party a couple of years ago.

In the 60's I remember my mum winning a really nice teak unit for holding records.

She liked it so much, my dad had to go and buy a record player.

Did a AU$10 Trifecta bet on a horse race a few yrs ago when on holiday before i ever moved here permanently and shoved the ticket in my wallet and forgot it was there ,a few days later the Mrs asked about the result and I hadn't a clue so went over to the nearest TAB to get the ticket checked ,nearly fell through the fuckin floor when the chick behind the counter told me I had won AU$18000 for my $10 investment !
