I am an example of the most cross cultural you can get. Hence the OP. Country jumping some as my family is everywhere so I can't answer your question.
What did I learn? English is not my mother tongue but I made an effort.

I will think about exchanging a hug with you ....... coming from different cultures my friend but not so different. You get it, right? There is one rather nice place, you may know it well. Called the Blue Bar. A meltingpot of any sorts and very any form of English you can find. See you there.
My CFO wouldn't like signing off on my expense reports after a night there!
Blue Bar in Cornwall? Liverpool? Knightsbridge? Gleneagles? Somewhere else?
i would be more concerned about the religious tolerances of the school than the brand of English. Unless it's based on any kind of supreme being or creationism, they should be ok with the lingo.
Can't believe you let this run for 50 posts before declaring your real intent. Apart from religious intolerance, I would worry about them picking up your devious traits.
Heart of Gold and a Knob of butter.
'The Blue Bar' is English code, you wouldn't get it. I blame Bond for this debacle. See you there too chas.
So it's a gay thing. In fact, somewhere where Blue might go looking for a fight.
So you are assuming I am a gay male? From my experience.
Mandarin and Cantonese are clearly different enough to be considered separate languages by any ordinary standard of mutual intelligibility. Calling them merely different dialects may be common because they weren't thought of separately by Westerners, because they all use more or less the same characters, and because the current government would rather not admit how different the various varieties are. By the usual standards of mutual intelligibility, there are somewhere between ten and forty related but different languages which are referred to as Chinese, and each of those different languages has several dialects.
meme, join 'The Blue Bar', nudge, nudge, wink wink say no more sport.
English is not English, no way.
