How can people be so fucking predictable? Quite ironic coming from you Abby.
There you go fixed that for you
Stay outta dee sun golden turdle
You self medicate you will die. You're not a doc. Get some real help and don't bother the forum with this shit. We are not docs or procurers of meds, if you have a condition seek something out from a reputable hospital or doctor.
If you read the OP's post you'll find that he has previous use and knowledge of this med. All he was asking was if anyone knew where to buy it. He didn't ask for a fcuking lecture from 20 people on what to do regarding his condition. Okay, may be the guy posted in the wrong forum but some mod (kingwilly) could have put him right instead of jumping in to the feeding frenzy.
Really...I will die from applying cream to my face. Cream that I have used numerous times back home.
Anyway, for those of you who provided some helpful info. I found out today that it is impossible to buy Fluorouracile from a Pharmacy in Phuket. It is however possible to buy a box of 12 satchels of Aldara. The cost is 2100 THB. I also went to the International hospital and was told there is a doctor there, Dr Sittaporn who can do the liquid nitrogen thing. However he was off until Monday.
I also got a lead on another Dr Pongsakorn who has a clinic next to the skin laser joints across the road from the big Tesco Lotus in Phuket town.
I will be heading back in on Monday and will post the outcome. Unless of course I die from self medication...
Well done mate. I hope your update will help others who may need assistance in the future. As for the 'Piranha Brigade' get fcuked.
I didnt know that, I thought he was well on the way to recovery after his bout of chemo.
After having my own scare with malignant melanoma a couple of years ago and ,due to a misread pathology report initially being told I could be dead within 6 months I feel very lucky to have eventually been treated succesfully at Bumrungrad by relatively minor surgery alone, no need for lymph node resection or arduous courses of chemotherapy.
Thats why when I see people talking about self diagnosis and self medication I have to assume they have distanced themselves from reality.
There are some competent dermatologists at Bumrungrad and Bangkok Hospital in Bangkok, and after my misdiagnosis by an local quack in Hua Hins Bangkok Hospital, I can only shake my head in amazement at the original posters attempts to purchade medication and take advice from a local doc in a beauty clinic next to Tesco.
Good luck with it all mate.
Well said and my point exactly. The next expat who searches the interweb for some info on skin cancer or that particular cream, will have to scroll through pages of shit to read anything helpful. If they don't give up long before they get to the first genuine reply that is.
Still, as long as some bored forum users entertained themselves in the process it's all good I guess.
You simply do not ask such a question on a public forum when you have a condition and your life is at stake. You go about it the right way, medical advice, hospitals, bring it with you in a prescription stamped by a doctor in your country. The way to go. How do you know all the people who pointed you in the way of some quack script is going to work? You don't. What if someone came on here asking for sleep meds? Or any medication that can't be procured through a doc?
I hope you get well and you found your cream. Forums are wonderful but we are not medics.
The guy has a different agenda wait and see.
If you feel that way so strongly that you can't ignore the thread, then you are more than welcome to politely tell him so. If you're polite and genuine then you are adding something to the thread.
I was referring to the pointless obnoxious name calling and thread derailing that a certain kind of member can't resist doing on practically every single thread, because they are bored and have nothing more constructive to say.
At the end of the day he's a grown man. He knew what he wanted and he wanted to know where to find it. Who are you or anyone else to stop him from trying to find out.
^^Jeez Abe how you been reading, How to win friends and influence people, by Andrew carnegie.
I feel strongly enough not to encourage anyone on anywhere to 'get pointed to' places to buy stuff that is a med prescribed by a doctor. That's all.
The simple fact is, there are three main types of skin cancer, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma, and a good half dozen rarer ones.
A cream that worked on one type of lesion, may have no effect except to put you in your grave within 6 months.
Self diagnosis ans self treatment with skin lesions is foolish in the extreme. And no, previous "experience" does not get you off the hook.
The turtle said he went to see Dr Sittaporn at the international hospital in Phuket well he/she charges 4,500 baht for a check up, so the turtle should of taken advice and just went and seen a Doctor. as advised.
The OP is indeed going to go and see someone. Which is good. And hopefully he will get the treatment he needs.
My brother has melanoma, i don't know which type. But it sounds bad, he's had 50 moles removed and about 20 of them were carcinogenic and had to be dug out.. At the moment he is on some retreat in Germany (where he lives) doing Tai chi and eating lots of veggies. If that is good for him - so be it.
If the OP needs the cream so be it too. Every person has different needs to fight their own personal fight with that horrible disease.
if in BKK, wipawadi hospital has cryo

Now that we have got old mate sorted out, where can one buy some decent hemarroid ointment ?

Sorted.
After attending three separate clinics who, when I called told me they do have cryotherapy, I ending up going to Bangkok hospital in Phuket Town (Samkong). The reception staff had no idea what I was talking about when I requested liquid nitrogen, cryotherapy or freezespray, but after some persistence I was put in the mill. Registration...then...preliminary examination (blood pressure was off the scale at 171/110)...then a long wait of 2 hours to see a Dermatologist because she was conducting a tricky biopsy.
Anyway. The doctor was great, spoke excellent English, and check me from head to toe. Found several spots not including the obvious one on my face that has been troubling me. Burnt them all off and sent me off the the cashier to pay and collect some cream to rub on my burns.
Total cost 3KTHB.
The Aldara cream was 2K1THB so the hospital route was a much better value for money and the treatment instantaneous.
For those that made some positive posts thanks for your help. For the remaining trash talking idiots...kiss my scabby blistered buttcrack...
^ there now, aren't you happy we all told you to go see a Doctor?
Prescription meds are that way so a Doctor has the chance to check your condition periodically.
Otherwise you'd be happily rubbing cream on yur face while your dick rots off....
