1'200 baht go over to the bridge to the Amari hotel car park and get from there less likely to try and rip you off.

Rent the Fortuner off MPM on here, if its available. He dropped the motor at Don Muang for me. It's LPG too. Bring your own CD's, unless you like 60's music

Alternatively you can walk 200m to the main road and pay 180bt to get into bangers.

ferk the bus you have to pay for a taxi to get to the bus station, thats unless you get the bus.

Koojo just make sure your friend makes sure the tollway is included in the price.

Nah Dillinger I'd nominate this one, driving in bangers and patters has to be the dumbest.

Absolutely - to rent a truck just to then park it in the hotel and get on the lash is a complete waste of time and money.

1000 baht and he can have a kip and let a somchai do the driving.

Last time we where in patters the taxi was cheaper to get back to BKK, think it was 800 baht.

Just out of interest does anyone know, why is it only certain cities that have metered Taxi's. We went to cha am for a week neither cha am or Hua hin have metered Taxi's

I got whacked with a 2000 baht parking bill, after getting pissed off with the traffic on Sukhumvit, leaving the car for 24 hours in the Emporium multi story and jumping the BTS to nana. Probably 10 days work for the guy at the barrier, robbing bastards.

My point still stands though, if you want to tour Thailand, you are better off driving yourself
