    Frickin sad world

Was just mixing up a big bowl of fish and rice++ for our four dogs..remarked to the wife that the fish ( sprat++ size) was actually quite good.
Wife says not good one/two days old maybe..went on to tell me that when she was buying a 40 something lady was buying 20bt worth of 35bt/kilo fish.
.asked wife why she was buying 20 kilo ..was she buying to sell?...wife sussed it I guess and said for my children to not embarrass the lady. The vendor admitted to wife fish not that fresh and would normally sell for 100bt/kilo

Damn shame methinks as when I got back from buying eggs I casually dropped 1500bt++ on beer and cigs plus other stuff in Tesco.
How to do..maybe if was present and understood conversation would have bought the lady a whole tuna.... out of guilt perhaps..not that that would really have made any difference long term...??
This is down south in relatively better off Trang province not in Isaan or poorer provinces..christ knows what it must be like up there!

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

The courage to change the things I can,

And the wisdom to know the difference.

Sounds daft but maybe her recipe only called for 700 g of fish? she would have been better off to ask for small fish then...
