Thread: Great morning in Bangkok

What a fantastic day I'm having.

First I go to Citibank asok, the first ATM only has 100baht notes so I try the next one. Somehow the ATM eats up my debit card and I gave to wait 40mibutes for lady with the key to retrieve it. (One moment sir) - yeah right.


Ive just checked into boss suites at Nana soi 4.. Nice room for £20.. Or so it seems..
Shower doesn't fcking work .. And here I am waiting 20mins now for so.some to come.

Again "one moment please" rofl

Careful when you go for a drink.

OK Somchai the engineer has turned up minus a tool box.

He's just scooted off to which I assume he's gone to get tools

Not to worry can always take a golden shower that's the only plus side of staying in Soi 4.
Fifty baht should get to a decent shower.

A shit hole for £20 a night, what do you expect?
Mainly Paki's and Indians in there and they don't bother with a shower..

Landmark is just a short walk away good chance that hotel will have working showers.

I'm afraid I'm not as wealthy as you TD members I've been here 3 weeks already with 1 week to go . cannot afford more then 1000 a night really.

Shrewed Punter or is it Screwed Punter - my sympathies, but it sounds like most of my dealings with the Thailand infrastructure - some things actually do work, but, with my luck-of-the-draw they only work for other more fortunate folk. Certainly payback for something I did in a past life.

I came back to the room and my code didn't work on the safe deposit box .. I thought I had lost the plot but after somchai arrived and said " batterly no good" things became clear !!

If your card gets swallowed there's no fukking bank on earth that will give you the same one back. We all wait for a new one to be sent out.

Ummm actually no, mate. In Thailand they will unlock the fooker and give it back to you. I did it once years ago, thought I had put a different card in, and pin 3 time... bye bye. Walked into the bank and some old dorris unlocked it. Had a mate lose his card in an ATM at a 7/11. A few days later went back and they had it behind the counter waiting for him after the bloke filling it with cash saw it, "farang card... fook it, too much bother"!

Well, CSI TD SD (Scat Division) decided he was hacked...

The ATM didn'tppurposely take my card. The card feed was fcuked and took my card all the way in
