Hi, Just a post for fun and not an actual moan or whinge as can't be bothered with all that "Its not the money its the principle " Crap
I bought some penicillin last on Koh Tao whilst doing some diving there and cut myself. All the pharmacies quoted around the same price of 250 a packet give or take 10 baht. Just bought some here in Chumphon to keep in the first aid box for next time.
Heres the fun. How much here ?

There are many different brandings and formulations of penicillin. Were they tablets or capsules, how many did you buy, locally made or imported, were they 250mgs or 500mgms. etc.etc.etc.

Edit: i'm going to reassess. Because the pharmacy on Koh Toa goes to the mainland to buy and then transports to Koh Tao. 100 baht.

YEP 15 whole Thai Baht for the exact same tablets.
I had to ask him several times if he was sure that was the price but yes it was.
I understood there was a bit of a price hike but not that much for sure

I was going to say 15 baht and was hoping the guessing game was still open.

10 paracetamols are normally about 12 baht and they defo work.
