Thread: What tempted you to come through the Teak Door

I was browsing the net, stumbled across Teak Door, read some historical posts by a poster named Missismiggins - laughed out loud and thought this is an off the wall place.

First forum I experienced and joined.

What made you come through the TD?

The university girls thread - showed to me by a poster called somtamslap.

Friend in Bangkok sent me a note, and told me to find TD and search for an article. It was about a guy we both knew fairly well who had just been arrested and was being extradited to the US. Appears he had embezzled several million bucks from a company in the US and then fled to LOS where he had lived for several years. Always wondered where all his money came from...

First forum I'd ever been on. Only one so far. Been five years now.

First, I "joined" TV after 12 years in LOS.
Had a difference in opinion to moderator/chief contributor.
Banned for indefinite period. Harsh?
Had already "glanced" at TD.

This forum is far more "relaxed", intelligent (?), excellent threads on home construction. For perusal purposes only, I do like the adverts re "BKK Escorts" & GodsofThailand.com - the "kissee" is my preference. Why? I would like to find out!

That's interesting, Shaggy.....as TV exist only to produce conduits for marketing, they usually will be more tolerant with beloved advertisers - members or not.

If you've observed their history - a number of loyal members have had nominal sub-forum sponsorship/underwriting and get away with much more crap than the average member.

information, stuff i wouldn't get from a travel book, i have not been disappointed,
